Manny was great! Came out and gave me a free estimate to rip out nearly 20 plants. After giving me a fair price for the project, he came back out and ripped all the plants out, took out all the root systems, and even repaired a sprinkler that was slightly accidentally damaged. I would highly recommend Manny to anyone. He was very professional and did an amazing job.
He came out on Memorial day, the same day I called, and stopped a bad leak in my automatic sprinkler system. He rescued us. I was having to turn the water off to the house because the leak was so bad. I would turn it on to use the toilet & wash our hands, then turn it off again. It was wonderful to have the problem solved and go back to 'normal'.
Fixed my sprinkler system. Great guy!
Complete sprinkler installation of front & backyard. Work was completed in 2 days in a very clean & professional manner! I was impressed with Ms. Santiago's hardworking crew and the fact that they all worked well with one another to finish the project. The project was huge to undertake due to the fact that the front yard is massive & I wanted to save some existing plants & shrubs. They worked around the areas that I wanted to salvage & I was very happy. New sprinkler system is amazing & all areas of the yard are now receiving water. Pressure is excellent & pleased with the quality materials she used for the job! All Rain-bird sprinklers! Norma also salvaged my old Rain-bird timer which she informed still had some years of use. Timer is complicated & expensive to replace. Very pleased that I was able to save some money in keeping my old timer! Bets of all Norma programmed the timer according to the city's water schedule!
He is very a nice guy . He did a quick and excellent job for my front and back yard , fix my sprinkler , pipe etc. reasonable price Highly recommended !
Danny was prompt at responding. We had a few sprinkler repairs. We trusted him to return and complete the work while we were away. He updated upon completion. He provided pictures. His pricing is very reasonable. He also provided great ideas and suggestions on how to improve curb appeal. We will for sure use Rocha Landscape for any future needs. Danny was willing to help my husband on the spot on trimming the palms when he came out to walk the job. We will for sure use Rocha Landscape for any future needs and recommend the company as well. Thanks Danny!
Dave did very good work on my sprinkler system and put in extra time on the project to get things working just right. He knows what he's doing.
We had artificial turf installed last year. The company who did the installation did a shotty job with capping the sprinkler lines, which caused a huge leak in the sprinkler line. George came out first thing this morning, and worked on the sprinkler line until it was repaired correctly. Not only would I not hesitate to contact George again, I highly recommend him to anyone who needs repairs.
He did some roof repairs and also some work on the eaves. He did a good job and was easy to work with
Mr. Owen did an excellent job repairing my sprinkler hose. He is very professional, efficient and highly recommended
Jason and his crew did a FANTASTIC job repairing our ceiling after we blew a fire sprinkler. They even cut our awful and completely unmanageable hedge on the fly and did a great job. Jason was super professional and showed up when he said he would. I would definitely hire him again as well as recommend him!!!
John quickly stopped by to quote the gardening maintenance and irrigation repair. And he gave a good price. Thank you.
Installed a sprinkler timing system. Showed up on time and was willing to work with my schedule. I am pleased with the experience.
I put some pressure on them because I had to have my yard looking good in about three days. They stepped up to the plate and squeezed me in the schedule the next day. they did an excellent job in installing three sprinklers I needed and trimmed and weeded. They did a great job and I just can't say enough about their professionalism.
Evans did a great job mowing the lawn, edging, and trimming around trees and side walk structures. He also took a look at our sprinkler system and helped us make a few tweaks to many of the sprinkler heads to ensure the dry spots in our lawn received water. He also provided us with some tips for lawn and sprinkler maintenance. Very nice, polite, and knowledgeable person.
Brett responded to the request for a leak in the sprinkler system. He was awesome in his timing. He went out the same day, traveling 30 miles one way to provide an estimate. He also diagnosed an issue with the stove for us on the same call-out. He returned to the property the next day to complete the repair and my tenants were satisfied with the work and his timing. His pricing was fair and very reasonable. I will be hiring him again in the future!
Came to inspect and find sprinkler leak and inspect entire system. He was prompt to call me and came over right away. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Norbert first repaired a simple drip system problem.. he installed last summer. No charge since he guarantees his work for a year. I then used his crew to move some extra DG (decomposed granite) from one side of the house and spread in various places in the backyard. They also raked and cleaned up some weeds in the backyard. His helper did a great job and looks all fresh again. Norbert always calls back the same day, schedules in the near future and shows up when expected.
I got several quotes from several companies. Some of the others would probably be considered more "professional," with better knowledge of the specific plants I had in mind, or a long-term ecosystem-style approach to planning, or detailed formal top-down landscape architecture designs. But Sunset Gardens gave me one of the most competitive bids, and they were by far the best communicators. I have a large front yard and an even larger back yard. I needed a huge planter full of dead plants removed, the remains of front and back lawns removed and replaced with mulch, four or five trees planted, a variety of drought-tolerant shrubs and flowers added, some tree-trimming, front and back pathways or sidewalks added, and a drip-line irrigation system installed to replace the old "spray as much water into the air as possible" sprinkler system. One company took a few days to get me a bid and wanted $10k for the project (not including the pathways, which I hadn't figured out I wanted yet), but did not listen to any of my specific needs or requests: they were going to do what they thought was right, cheap, and fast without thinking about my long-term goals. Another company wanted $37k (no joke), and while I'm sure they would have done a fine job, I couldn't afford two cars' worth (and half our family's full year's income) for a project whose number one priorities were removing dead plants and planting some trees; they also left a lot of the specifics vague. Sunset Gardens got back to me the day I called, came out that afternoon to look at the property, and got me a quote that evening, for less than $13k, with a lot of the specifics nailed down. (They actually gave me several options in terms of size of trees and width of walkways, with specific prices for every option, allowing me room to customize based on my budget and plans.) Most importantly, they listened to everything I had to say about what I wanted. They shared their knowledge and recommendations where I had no specifics in mind, but they didn't ignore my own ideas or desires. It felt like a collaborative process from the very beginning to the very end. Once they got into it, they recommended removing and replacing several shrubs that were not in great shape, and adding a drain line to get rain water away from where it was pooling near the house and over to the lower end of the yard. These were also not in the original quote, but they pushed this because it was what the yard needed, not for the additional work: for everything beyond the initial bid, they charged me only for the additional materials/plants, not for any of the (extensive) labor. In the end, we had to get a slightly smaller boxed tree than was initially quoted, which saved me $300. The additional materials and plants cost less than that, so the final price ended up lower than quote. The only issue I had on the project was the tree-trimming, which was pretty heavy-handed. They're not arborists or professional tree-trimmers, and they won't climb up high enough to surgically remove just the dead limbs; they topped my sycamores pretty severely (losing me some significant summer shade). If the sycamores are all filled in again by this time next year (two are already starting to), then I'll be very happy. If one of the trees dies, I'd have to drop my review to 4 stars, but everything else about the experience was so good that I couldn't go any further. This is a small family operation (a father and his two sons), but they work _hard_. Some days they went home early; some days they went home _really_ late. They always started promptly around 8am, and they always did a full day's work with significant noticeable progress. They didn't work weekends, but the total project start to finish took less than a month. They cobbled together the plants I wanted and their own recommendations from at least 6 separate nurseries, ranging from Azusa to Orange to closer to my home in Claremont. Their willingness to go out of their way to make sure we were all happy with the finished product was outstanding. We've gotten several comments from friends about how great the new front walkway is, and the back walkway is exactly what I needed for my everyday use; both were done in lovely sweeping curves. Both yards are already a huge improvement over what I had before, but I'm _really_ excited to see it in a year or two, once the trees are providing shade and the one-gallon shrubs and flowers have filled in. They're small now, but already beautiful and attracting butterflies. My wife and I are really happy. I made sure my mom got their contact information so they could get her a quote for her yards in her new house in Upland. She ended up going with them as well, and is hiring them as regular gardeners as well. They finished my project two days ago, just after signing contracts with her, and started work on her yard. My mom says you already wouldn't recognize her front yard.
