FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Having owned businesses over the years, I know customers want a fair price but quality work as well. Quotes are always free and I do not charge travel time. I’ve learned over the years to price jobs accordingly. While it may appear that garage door repairs are simple, they in fact can be quite dangerous, especially when replacing torsion springs. If a customer wants to add something to the job I’m already going to do….like new rollers or replacing both springs when only 1 is broken, I usually add a discount since I’m already doing the repair.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I communicate as quickly as possible and after inspecting the repair, I provide a quote on the spot. If agreed upon, I can usually start the repair the same day or the next day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Had training on the various components of the garage door when doing home inspections for several years, whether it was a regular residential home or a luxury high end home. Continued that education thru a garage door training school, that provides ongoing student support from instructors when needed. My education is ongoing by means of online video courses provided from various garage door manufactures, garage door openers and suppliers.
