I disappointed to write this review but my experience with Shirley was not good. Granted she distracted by her sick father but she only partially cleaned a third of my house (for example she cleaned the bathroom but not the shower and she skipped one bathroom and one bedroom completely?) or she’d vacuum a room but not dust any other surface above the floor in that same room.. she forgot to wipe off the stovetop?? Anyway all-in-all it wasn’t one of those “my house looks amazing” moments. It was hard to tell if anyone had been there at all. Then she texted saying she couldn’t finish (sick dad) but she took all the money (so that was puzzling cause she didn’t do the cleaning). I have been very patient and not unkind in trying to get her to either complete to job or return some of the money (which she has promised on more than one occasion to do either) and then nothing. So hiring her is a gamble I would never recommend to anyone. I am sad my first experience with Thumbtack will now be my last. Shirley has been both unprofessional and disappointing. Hire someone else. To date Shirley has not refunded anything. I will update this when or if anything is ever received.

Rachael as of last night at 730 pm my loved one passed on my I was at the hospital till 200 am this morning when the motouary picked him up, you can update your review once you receive your money, let me just say that thank you for being so understanding my situation as I've explained it to you then and now!!!! I even sent you photos of him being read his last rights on Friday.!!!!!

This was my first time ever paying someone to clean for me, and unfortunately it was a miss. Shirley was originally supposed to have my 2 bedroom condo cleaned in a morning. I went to check in on her at my lunch break, and only one of the bedrooms had been cleaned (the other bedroom, bathrooms, kitchen, living, and dining rooms weren't done). I know she had some personal matters to attend to in the mid-morning, but I found out she also double-booked herself, so she left to clean another client's place in the afternoon. We agreed she would come back to finish at 6pm, but it wasn't until 8pm did she arrive. By then it was way too late and I needed to go to bed. So I told her we shouldn't proceed further. I want to just chalk it up to her having a bad day, so I paid her $60 for the one bedroom that was cleaned out of the $125 she was supposed to get if the whole place was done. I think I'm going to just do my own cleaning like I've always done up until today.

Shirley was awesome. She deep cleaned our home. It feels so clean. She is very sweet which is always a bonus. We are hiring her every other week now. I usually don’t do maid service but she sold me and will save me so much time for other pertinent things I need to get done. With the other quotes I received she is the most reasonable and does a great job!!! Thanks Shirley
