Fun with Languages

Hi! Thank you for checking my profile. I am a polyglot, and a very experienced and intuitive language teacher and tutor. I am also a musician. I studied musicology in Brussels, and applied linguistics at UC Berkeley. I have also taken several useful workshops on dyslexia. I have taught French, ESL, Portuguese, and Spanish in renown language schools for adults during more than 15 years, such as the Alliance Française and the English Center, and have also taught in several private elementary and middle schools. I have taught and tutored at all levels (beginner to advanced), working with all ages, including seniors. After my career in the classroom, I devoted my professional life to private and semi-private tutoring, and have thoroughly enjoyed doing so for about 10 years. I have been tutoring via Zoom and Google Meet since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. I am passionate about teaching, and having learned 5 languages, I am well aware of the challenges faced by foreign language students. I adapt my lessons to the specific needs, interests, and learning styles of my students. Many of my students have told me how they have greatly benefited from my techniques in accent reduction. I will help you acquire a good accent from your very first lesson, and I usually teach grammar in context. I am patient and flexible, and will put you at ease, working at your pace.
