Listed hourly rate is per man per hour. Day-rate discounts are available on a job by job basis.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Our father was a carpenter and general contractor when we were young. Our experience started with scenic construction for television and theatre in the northeast, but we moved on to residential construction when we returned to Texas.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We have really enjoyed outdoor projects lately, especially when the weather is nice. We have built two large cedar pergolas in the last couple months. The first included an outdoor kitchen with a built in charcoal grill. The second was sort of complicated because we had to frame it around a bay window that looked out on the back yard. That one included tinted polycarbonate roof panels which let light through but provided UV protection. Each of those projects took from 1 to 2 weeks.
