I am a patient instructor, I am totally interested in what I do, I am totally attentive and 100% involved with each of my students musical interests and abilities. I am also far more affordable than most others yet no less professional.
Aside from living and loving music, being part of someone's creative development is far more fulfilling than I could have ever imagined when I began. Seeing my students progress and get better is by far the greatest thing.

Russel is professional, affordable and extremely passionate about what he does. I was a little nervous going into it, as both my skills and understanding of guitar method is extremely rusty, and although I've only had one lesson with him I found myself relieved and encouraged by his patience and reassurance. I'm very excited to continue working with him.

Russ worked for two years with my son. He (my son) is a sweet but quirky kid. Russ was sooo patient and kind! My son no longer takes lessons but carries a love for guitar and music that he gained from Russ. I would recommend him any day, any time!

Russ was my son's guitar teacher for years and the experience was fantastic! My son grew as a musician and the best part was he had a 'cool' mentor through high school that he could jam with and learn from. Russ inspired my son to put together a band and they have had a few great gigs at the Gilman. Russ was there to help them through sound checks and cheered them on during the shows. My son loved having him there!
Russ is a fantastic teacher and I highly recommend him!! He has a way of inspiring his students to explore their own creativity and potential. He also goes above and beyond to give his students the support they need.

Russ was my daughter's guitar teacher for a couple of years while she was in middle school. He is an excellent, patient, encouraging, and enthusiastic instructor. My daughter learned a lot from him and still plays guitar daily now that she's in high school.
