Introduction: My name is Juan. My lifelong passion for the game of soccer began at the age of 12 (later than most!) and stayed with me through college as a D-1 Student Athlete at CAL Berkeley. While playing soccer on a personal level has and will always be a focal of my life, I have realized that coaching others is where my true passion and calling lie. I have had the opportunity to lead a high school team to the North Coast Sectional State Championship while simultaneously coaching the HS National player of the year. I enjoy working with players of all levels, positions and ages(4-50+) I use technical drills and exercises to address weaknesses and emphasize strengths as well as make the mental aspect and strategy resonate with my students. I have first hand experience preparing players for tryouts(and know what it takes!) as well as increasing current players playing time. I want them to take what we do in our sessions directly to their games and see their progression! Additionally, I am a certified personal fitness trainer, this background allows me the ability to further supplement soccer coaching with conditioning and strength training exercises geared specifically for soccer. When you work with me you can be assured that a truly comprehensive approach will be applied allowing for optimal success! I coach one on one, groups as well as private camps for kids and their friends (rates vary upon size) Fully vaccinated and boosted!

My favorite part of working out with Juan was his commitment. I twice tried flaking on him saying I was feeling lazy and maybe we could postpone our lesson and he automatically said, “nope, I’ll see you soon. Bring water!” Sometimes all a girl needs is a little discipline and accountability!

JJ is an excellent professional, he has a fantastic approach to needy areas, makes you aware of what is important while trying to be in better physiological form. This is very important since your body strength is what eventually will take you into enjoying your life in the years to follow. This is a trainer I would recommend without a second guess.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    I do offer a discount for packages as well if you have a partner to train together with. Also my intro session is also at a lower rate since it’s a assessment of where your body is at fitness wise and to see where your starting point is.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    First session is more of an orientation to help me see where your body is both with stamina and strength. As well as conducting a traditional squat assessment and some upper body and core work to see where your starting point may be as well as how to design a program specifically for you.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I’m a Certified Personal Trainer as well as CPR/AED certified
