Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I’ve worked as a therapist for 8 years, which includes private practice and a variety of Bay Area agency positions. I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and received my master's degree in Counseling Psychology from SFSU in 2013. My work as a therapist is fueled by a deep passion to continuously hone my skills, and be the best I can be for my clients. I specialize in helping individual adults overcome psychological conditions that result, in part, from past trauma and difficult family environments. Painful memories and incidents of trauma are often the cause for symptoms of anxiety, depression, substance abuse, low self-esteem, insomnia, and/or sexual dysfunction. Through the use of a highly researched technique known as EMDR Therapy, I can help you resolve or reduce the emotional, psychological, and physical health symptoms associated with trauma. As you work through painful memories and emotions, you will gain the personal mastery and emotional freedom needed to revive your life.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Individual therapy - $120 for 50-minute session. If you have an insurance plan that covers out-of-network providers, a receipt will be provided for you to submit for insurance reimbursement. No other insurance plans accepted at this time.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I offer new customers a no-cost phone or email consultation. During that time, I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about my style as a therapist. I also welcome any general questions you may have about therapy. We can then book and in-person appointment if you feel like we are a good fit.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

My career as a therapist is largely inspired by my own journey of self-discovery and inner growth. During my teenage years, I became fascinated by books and lectures on a variety of topics such as psychology, eastern philosophy, and cultural studies. Around that time, I also began utilizing meditation and journaling as personal inquiry techniques. The two practices enabled me to reflect more deliberately on who I was as a person, and allowed me to create a life aligned to my core values and ideals. My journey of self-discovery has and continues to be a great source of joy and satisfaction, especially when I gain new insight about the personal deficits that impede my full potential. Based on how much I benefited from my pursuit of self-discovery and inner growth, I decided to pursue a career as a therapist.
