About
I am a very engaging person when it comes to teaching. When I have a student, not only do I help them with the musical line and the technical aspects of singing to make the song sound good, but I also try to make sure they are singing with a purpose. There is a reason mankind created songs and music, because there were emotions that could not fit into our normal speech, we had to sing and create melodies to how we felt. Every song needs true emotion behind it, and I try to instill that into every student that I have, no matter what age or level of singing they are currently. The interaction with other and being able to see the progression of someone as they improve their voice. To have a student and to see the them discover a new idea or to see the amount of improvement they have made with a particular piece just warms my heart. To be able to help someone with reaching their dreams is an absolute joy and I am able to do that through this kind of work.

Our first lesson was fast paced! He dove right in and started helping me prepare for an upcoming audition. He has a lot of audition experience, and a good idea of what songs would fit my voice well. I would definitely recommend him.

Lance is an excellent coach. He is very knowledgeable of the vocal instrument and repertoire. He caters the lesson to the student's goals and provides an unintimidating environment for beginners.

I'm a 38 year old professional that has played guitar for over 20 years and sung for over 5 years before my girlfriend decided to buy me a few vocal lessons with Lance. I knew that I would gain some help from these lessons but I never thought it was possible to change my vocal range and singing abilities so much. Right away Lance showed me all the warm ups that a person should know in order to get started and then immediately went right into songs that he felt would be great for my range and additionally the songs that I was interested in. No challenge is too large for Lance as long as you are willing to put in the work and do what he tells you to do. Lance is capable of singing anything but he doesn't waste your time showing you what he can do but instead shows you all that you can do even if you didn't realize that you can. Ive taken lessons for many things like Guitar, Sailing and even flying airplanes and I've never had an instructor show me so many things in one hour that would have such a huge effect and now after just a few months of lessons I've increased my vocal range to almost 3 octaves. I would recommend Lance to anyone that wants great results and to have fun doing so. Don't wait forever like I did, just do it.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    You definitely want a teacher who you can be upfront with and comfortable, there is nothing worse than being uncomfortable with a voice teacher. You won't be able sing to your full potential and the teacher won't know how to help you. To have a truly successful lesson, you need to be open with your teacher and be willing to ask questions, tell him/her how your voice feels, and if you are feeling uncomfortable, being able to say it and try to find a solution so you do not feel that way. Communication is key!

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

    How fun it truly is to work with people on getting better with singing. Its so hard to consider this as a profession, truly I look at this as a huge passion of mine that I am blessed to be able to make a living with.
