UPDATE: 7/17/2020 We hired Marissa to do the bride. 5 bridesmaids and both the mothers. She traveled from Brentwood to Elk Grove at the Hampton Inn and showed up early to set up and begin by 7:00 a.m. She did hair and makeup on 8 ladies and was done by 3:45pm. To set the scene, there were 8 girls in this room and eventually a friend showed up with the brides 8 & 4 year old daughter. The 4 year old was a monster that day. The bride worked on her daughters hair while Marissa was working on the others. Marissa was so friendly and interacted with all the girls. making us laugh. She was very attentive with the bride and her emotions and made us girls aware when the bride started getting a little upset because she couldn't find something or just needed help in general. Marissa made sure every girl was happy with our look and did everything to ensure their look would be beautiful in the end. I can't give enough praise and appreciation for her. She is a true artist in the quality of her work. Her work quality and value was a 10, her professionalism, responsiveness and punctuality was an 11. I would definitely hire Marissa again and would recommend her to anyone needing these services. Marissa thank you again so much for everything you did to give us what we wanted. I hope to work with you again in the future.
5/31/2020 I hired Marissa to provide services for my nieces wedding bridal party. We did the trial for my niece and I also had her do a trial makeup for me too. Marissa was so friendly and easy to work with. She was on time and she took the time to listen and provide us with everything we were asking of her. My niece and I loved both our looks so much. Marissa not only made us feel comfortable, but also confident that we are going to have the look we all want on the day of the wedding. Thank you so much Marissa, I look forward to our next meeting in July. I tried to upload photos, but the pictures come out distorted. I think thumbtacks website doesn't work right for uploading photos :(

Muarissa did such an excellent job on my nieces make up! She looked like a cover girl straight off the cover of a magazine! Her work proceeds itself and I can't wait for her to do my make up for my college graduation photos. Thank you for making my nieces day so special.

Marissa is super friendly and made my experience fun but professionalX She is god gifted at makeup and made me look so beautiful for my special day. You never know how your makeup will look when going to someone new and I was not dissapointed. I would recommend her to everyone I know.

It was an absolute joy working with Marissa! We were able to really capture the natural beauty of every model, and I couldn’t ask for anything better. She was very friendly, and communicated through out the whole process making the shoot run smoothly.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am very fair with my pricing I take pride in what I do, and I price it to what I believe is reasonable. The only “fees” are traveling fee and cancellation without prior notice fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to get as much information about there preferences on makeup. I also like to send over pictures of my work from my portfolio.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for M•A•C cosmetics as a freelance makeup artist & have ran a successful freelance business for 6 years
