I’m very disappointed to learn that this customer feels that this job was not completed to her satisfaction. This job request was not made via Thumbtack, it was made through another advertisement I possess. And I take offense to this negative review being posted to my profile on Thumbtack, as I’m very conscientious about my work, as demonstrated by the prior positive reviews posted on this profile. This customer contacted me via phone requesting a refinishing bid, for a medium-size kitchen. As she stated, the cabinet doors and drawers had been refinished by another contractor in Northern California. However, the property was located here in Loma Linda, CA. The customer provided the address to the property, and I reviewed the extent of the job and gave her a bid of $800.00. We agreed on the price and the scheduled work that had to be done. I informed her that I would have to make approximately 4 trips to the property to complete the preparation and the re-finishing of this job. There were other contractors working on the floors, counter tops and interior walls, during each time I was working on the cabinet frames. I covered all the walls and counter tops during the staining process, to ensure there was no damage to them. Upon completion of this job, I met with the customer and her husband, they reviewed the work, stated they were pleased and paid me for the job. I was not contacted about the possible overspray issue until a week later, in which the customer first called and ask what would clean something sticky off of the counters. I informed here that they could be cleaned with acetone. I then received a text later that night, in which this customer demanded that I meet her at the property the next day at 8 a.m. to clean the counters. I informed her that I was in the middle of other jobs, and would not be able to come back to clean the counter tops, and also because of the other contracting work that was going on at the same time, I felt the problem was not necessarily mine.
