Kevin knows how to identify exactly what I need to grow vocally and also identifies not only weaknesses but my strengths as well. He also knows how to be patient but also provide helpful critiques to encourage growth in that area. Lastly Kevin also uses lesson time wisely by progressing at a moderate pace which allows me to apply what I previously learned to the next exercise. I highly reccomend Kevin Owners if you want to grow vocally in a reasonable amount of time.

Kevin Owers is an outstanding vocal coach! Since taking lessons with Kevin I've noticed a marked improvement in the tone, range and strength of my voice! Kevin has a great ear for pinpointing my voice's strengths and weaknesses and then targeting the lesson to those strengths and weaknesses. Using vocal exercises and song work I have learned both universal singing truths and specific issues that pertain to my voice and my music. Breath work and the exploration of the different parts of my range have made a huge difference in bringing ease and power to my voice. I'm a singer / songwriter and often bring in my own songs to sing, but Kevin has also found songs for me to sing that have expanded my repertoire and skill set.

I offer a 5% discount if you pay for 5 lessons upfront
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to hear the singer singing a piece they are familiar and comfortable with so I can get a good idea of their present technical level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained in singing at the London College of Music and I spent 11 years teaching at AMDA & UC Irvine
