- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My place, my horse: $60.00 per hour My place, your horse: $50.00 per hour Your place, your horse: $75.00 per hour plus $1.00 per mile travel Your place, my horse: $75.00 per hour plus $2.50 per mile travel Training starts at $300.00 per month including board and goes up depending on package.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I evaluate their ability on a horse, mine or theirs. I learn what their riding goals are. I challenge them at an appropriate level to ascertain their "teach-ability". I want to get to know them to learn their inner feelings about riding. After this, I set up easily attainable goals for their riding program to get them started and looking forward to what comes next.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 50 years of riding and training experience. Even during college, I rode and trained horses for people as well as teaching lessons. I attend 4 symposiums with my mentor every year. I also attend clinics regularly with well respected horsemen and women. I subscribe to the Journal of Veterinary Medicine. I have an excellent relationship with my vet who continues my education whenever I need or ask for information.
