Introduction: CONSULTANT & PROJECT MANAGEMENT I bring 32 years experience as a licensed contractor. I DO NOT do construction work myself or develop estimates. I do however provide consultation and can run your project from beginning to end. My Current Rate is $85 hr. As a consultant I can review your project and render an opinion as to its necessity or feasibility, give you an idea of what is involved, and provide suggestions. I can review estimates, bids, and contracts to ensure they are in line with what you are expecting. I can also check reputations, licenses, workmans comp, liability insurance, and related. If you don't already know who to use I can help select architects, engineers, etc, as well as contractors and obtain cost estimates. As a Project Manager I will be your go between. You will seldom have to deal directly with those hired. I ensure the work is being done properly, in the right sequence, and to quality standards. I also handle required inspections. All estimates, bids, bills, invoices, and orders come to me for review which I then submit to you for payment. I will notify you what items you need to make decisions about and will keep you informed as to our progress. In summary I arrange and supervise everything that needs to be done and take the pressure off you. OTHER TYPES OF PROJECTS? Most project management is similar except for the details.
