Introduction: I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and provide individual, couples, family and group therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
Licensed in California for several years and I am experienced with a variety of mental health concerns, including trauma, sexual assault, depression and anxiety, family conflicts, family violence, bipolar disorder, post traumatic stress, ADHD, loss/grief, chronic pain, substance abuse, positive parenting, oppositional defiant behavior, insomnia, school and employment difficulties, military culture related issues and other behavioral, mental health and medical concerns.
My approach to therapy is respectful, straightforward, humorous and supportive. If you are having difficulty deciding if you want to have therapy try one session and decide from there what you feel is best for you.

I have been seeing Andrea for close to 10 yrs now. On my 1st visit I walked into her office a new mother with zero self confidence and my self esteem at it's lowest. I felt comfortable and safe enough to get straight to work on my issues that very first day. Andrea is patient, attentive and never judgmental. Together we got me back on the right path, but this time, I was armed with all the tools and equipment I needed to keep my goals in sight and myself worth in tact.
My cynical, distrusting and sometimes down right surly 14 yr old daughter will speak only to her as a therapist, as she had grown bored of toying with all the professionals she had seen previously. None of which had ever been able to get ANYhing out of her, except maybe a good whoopin when they tried to beat her at 'Connect Four'.
To sum it all up, if you're in the market for some down to Earth, honest and fair counseling, specific to your issues, then she's your girl. But be prepared to work and committed to improving, because she WILL put you to work and she WILL press you to look inside of yourself, no matter how difficult that may be for you . Because that's where she knows you'll find the answers. It is sometimes a very daunting thing. However, you needn't worry because when things get tricky or you feel your resolve weaken, Andrea, your trusted and reliable 'spotter' will be there to offer advice and support. Right there beside you, whenever you need her ...
And then, one day, before you know it, you will no longer need her. . Bittersweet Victory...
