- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing will vary depending on the duration of lessons chosen (30, 45, or 60 minutes), how many times per week the student expects to attend classes, and whether the lessons will be held in one of my studios or in your own home.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I mostly use the classical European method which gives me a general outline of how to approach and structure lessons. However, in my experience I have learned that each student is different and so lessons must be as well! Students can expect a tailored curriculum based on their: -age -experience -preferences -expectations (some students want to become musicians while others view it as a fun hobby) Students will start with easier folk and nursery rhymes and will move towards harder material. Where a student has previous experience, we will gauge their knowledge and ability before choosing appropriate songs. Eventually we will come to challenging classical pieces featuring composers like Mozart, Chopin, and Beethoven. Some students choose to move into more modern songs of Celine Dion, Sinatra, and Billie Holiday. I will be happy to help them pursue this after they have achieved the minimal competency in the classical approach.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed my qualification in the Music Institute of Russia. I am trained in both classical, traditional methods and the Suzuki method.
