Cebolla is an awesome photographer, he is creative, adaptable, and really listens to what you want. He came to our home to take family photos which included our son with autism who has difficulty posing and looking at the camera. Cebolla was understanding and creative and we have great family pictures which really captured moments of fun, tenderness, and the love we feel for one another. Thank you!

Glyph Publishing Arts has been one of my "go-to" resources for graphic design for more than a decade--both in my role as Publisher of Sierra Club Books (through 2014) and now as the President & CEO of Left Coast Book Works, LLC, a California-based book-packaging company. The principal at Glyph, Linda Herman, is an exceptional designer whom I have called on over the years to design not just books, but jackets & covers, ads, and all manner of promotional materials. She listens very carefully to what I'm looking for and always manages to deliver exactly what I had in mind--but with such a creative touch that I could never have come up with it myself. That's the magic of professional design! I have the highest regard for Linda and her team--and I heartily recommend Glyph Publishing Arts for all your graphic design needs.

    About

As a designer, I take great pride in the work I create and always strive to deliver an effective, focused, and on-target product that fits my clients' needs and goals. My pricing is very reasonable, and I always customize packages to accommodate my clients' budget and the job at hand. A little bit about my experience: I have worked with many nonprofit organizations developing marketing material, managing social media, revamping websites and implementing instructional training material, including The RavenzCall Coffee Cache & Cafe and the Chico State Student Success Center to name a few. I have also worked with local farmers and small businesses to design websites, revamp existing sites, logo designs, and much more. One of my clients is the organic, local Sunset Ridge Mandarin farm in Newcastle, CA. In college, I worked as a photojournalist for The Orion newspaper publication for a few years. Photographs included anything from active sporting events to community leader portraits. I would consider photography an advanced talent, skill, and profession. As far as interior design goes, I am currently in the process of renovating an 1860 farmhouse on a tight budget. Interior design is something I would love to gain more experience doing and I take that into consideration when giving quotes. I won't be the most expensive, but I am confident that I will get the job done with tasteful design. I am very proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design, also Wordpress, Dreamweaver, SquareSpace, Final Cut Pro, and Microsoft Office. I look forward to working with you!

Our streamlined process includes initial assessment, design, development, & deployment of your new and modern website. We are able to set you up with low to no cost customer relationship management (CRM) systems giving you the ability to communicate and track your entire customer base, even those who have taken but a peek at your site past or present. We also offer CRM Service for an additional fee. This service, essentially your customer service, operates only from 9am to 6pm PST (we have families too ?). We are an e-commerce web-based business. We develop and implement all facets of web sales, from initial inventory and price determinations, to setting you up with a local (if available) or regional drop shipper such as Amazon.com. This process includes research of items for advertisement and e-commerce product listing purposes, haggling for final purchase price of individual or sets of individual items, further customer service through transaction completion, checkout, shipping, then delivery and customer satisfaction verification. Do you prefer customer interaction over other facets of business management? No problem. We can streamline your entire system and set you up with live chat that is available during anytime(s) of day you choose. Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Why should you hire a web designer?

Your website is often the first thing your customers see when they’re searching for a business or service on the web. As the face of your organization, your website needs to be attractive and functional, offering the latest features that users now expect. To plan and design a site that both reflects your company’s mission and values and appeals to customers takes a professional web designer. While free online services can help people set up websites, web designers can provide a unique solution made specifically to meet customers’ personal or business needs.

Most web designers offer a wide variety of services to make your website aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. Modern web design must be mobile-friendly and scalable, capable of expanding to include a blog, social media sites, and even video streaming; web designers are experts at integrating various web technologies. They can build the site, add functionality, test it, launch it on a live server, and track and maintain its performance.

In addition to web design and graphic design, some web design providers also offer development and security services, including search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing and management, logo design, site maintenance, domain registration and hosting, protection against malware, and digital marketing and content services.

How much do web designers charge?

The average cost for hiring a web designer varies greatly depending on the scope of the work, which may range from building a site from scratch to rebranding an existing one, as well as the amount of content and graphics the designer will create. In general, the more complex the project, the more time the design agency will have to spend. Because web designers often work on an hourly basis, the longer the project, the higher the costs; you can count on the web designer spending at minimum 10 hours to create a very basic website with just a handful of pages with few elements. Prices also depend on the designer’s skill set, the process, and the company’s rates. In general, the national average cost for a basic website package starts at $500, but a customized website can cost as much as $2,000 or more. Here are typical average hourly rates, broken out by the complexity of the work:

    • Basic layout and user interface: $15-$40 per hour
    • Content management system design: $20-$50 per hour
    • Custom website design with custom code: $45-$75 per hour

What should you look for in a website designer?

A professional web designer creates the look and feel of your website, collaborating with you to choose colors, creating logos and other branding materials, establishing page layouts, and creating sample pages. An important part of web design is making sure the site is functional, meets your goals, and is easy for users to navigate. When you’re looking to hire a web designer, start by reviewing the person’s portfolio. Look for samples of work that match what you envision for your website, including experience building the types of pages or features you want. Make sure the web designer is familiar with your industry and understands both industry trends and web design trends — an old-fashioned or out-of-touch site will turn customers away rather than intrigue them.

Because web designers tend to work as freelancers on a project basis, they must be excellent communicators, willing to manage their own work, and available on your schedule. Some critical skills, such as working collaboratively and responding enthusiastically to feedback, aren’t core to good web design, but make working with a web designer much easier. Finally, look for a web designer who has cross-functional knowledge, such as understanding marketing and conversion rate optimization in addition to web design.

What makes a good logo design?

A good logo is an easily identifiable, memorable image that represents your brand. A good logo design aligns with your business model and expresses your company’s core values. A good logo design is simple, appealing, and easy for customers and viewers to quickly process. Some of the key components of a great logo are type, color palette and design. The scale, font and arrangement of the text you select will all make a difference in the feel and representation of your brand. A graphic designer will help you home in on the colors that best represent your identity and help you keep the color palette simple. The design of your logo includes the shapes you select and the way the color and type are arranged together. Investing in the services of a professional to create your logo design is likely a smart investment for any size business. Nationally, the average price range for a logo designer ranges from $170 to $250.

What do you look for in a web design company?

The web design company you choose must be able to interpret your company’s mission and identity and turn it into an appealing website that connects with potential customers. They must help you reach your target audience and meet your business goals. A web design agency should have on staff both talented web designers, with fresh ideas and extensive technical and creative skills, and a marketing team that knows how to drive traffic to your site, encourage visitor engagement, and convert visitors into customers. Web designers should be able to build in search optimization and integrate your site with a content management system and e-commerce tools. Look, too, for a website design company that understands responsive design and can optimize your website for mobile devices and desktop browsers. The right web design company understand current design and website trends, has experience building sites in a variety of industries (not just yours), and has an expansive portfolio of live websites. Finally, don’t simply hire the cheapest bidder — in web design, as in all things, you get what you pay for.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
