Goals
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I love helping people. As cliche as it sounds, it's the truth. There is nothing more fulfilling for me as a yoga instructor than for my students to feel amazing after class and have a desire to come back for more. I love helping others achieve their goals and experiencing the benefits of yoga. I am passionate about this so it never feels like work!

Riza is a phenomenal yoga instructor and an amazing person overall! How she's able to squeeze making time for ADEQUATE asana session idk, but she is definitely my number 1 go-to yoGAL. As a long distance runner and OCR racer, her classes so much help improve my performance on days I train or race as it's perfect for my cross training. Her sessions are never consecutively the same and are different in routines atop the basic yoga stretches/warmup so you'll never get bored (as I normally would expect at 24hr Fitness) there's always something either new or to get better at. Taking her class helps you to discover and learn SO much about yourself, and then take what you find with you beyond your yoga mat. I'm always looking forward to squeezing an hour's worthy session with Riza!

I'm so happy I found Riza. I was having back problems.. I told riza my concern and she put together a nice flow I can keep up with (I'm a yoga newbie).. she taught me how to really stretch my lower back and helped me quite a bit with everything else too! I highly recommend her! Especially if you're a newbie like me!

Working with Riza was a great experience. Not only was she a great instructor but she took the time to correct my technique while motivating me to be better at the same time. She is great for all levels of yoga and most of all she made it fun. I still practice even at home. I find myself striving to be better not only physically but mentally as well and Riza is a big part of that. I highly reccomend!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes, I will be pursuing Yoga Nidra - a type of yoga that induces full body-relaxation and a deep meditative state of conciousness. I will also be looking further into prenatal yoga, kids yoga, as well as Yoga Therapy. I believe that the only way to be a great teacher, is to continue being a good student.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Within the first couple weeks of my real yoga class, I was instantly hooked. I felt great and had more energy. I noticed that my flexibility and strength increased. Immediately, I knew I wanted others to experience what I was experiencing. I found yoga to be a "hidden gem", even though it is now popularized in today's society, I wondered what took me so long to get into it. It was all at the right time, and when that time came I went for it and attended an awesome studio to pursue my Yoga Teacher Training credentials.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask questions! Get to know the person you are looking to work with and see if what they offer is matching what you are looking to achieve. Also, ensure that the yoga instructor you work with is Certified, or what is called an "RYT-200 or RYT-500", Registered Yoga Teacher through an accredited studio, and that they carry their own liability insurance.
