FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I will be pursuing Yoga Nidra - a type of yoga that induces full body-relaxation and a deep meditative state of conciousness. I will also be looking further into prenatal yoga, kids yoga, as well as Yoga Therapy. I believe that the only way to be a great teacher, is to continue being a good student.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Within the first couple weeks of my real yoga class, I was instantly hooked. I felt great and had more energy. I noticed that my flexibility and strength increased. Immediately, I knew I wanted others to experience what I was experiencing. I found yoga to be a "hidden gem", even though it is now popularized in today's society, I wondered what took me so long to get into it. It was all at the right time, and when that time came I went for it and attended an awesome studio to pursue my Yoga Teacher Training credentials.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask questions! Get to know the person you are looking to work with and see if what they offer is matching what you are looking to achieve. Also, ensure that the yoga instructor you work with is Certified, or what is called an "RYT-200 or RYT-500", Registered Yoga Teacher through an accredited studio, and that they carry their own liability insurance.
