My first impression of this company was that they were responsive, affordable, and -- best of all -- nice. Unfortunately, that perception changed rapidly when I tried to reach out to them to confirm the details of my appointment just a few days after scheduling it.
The employee I'd spoken with originally, via Thumbtack, had assured me that I could cancel my appointment at any time, which was great since I was still trying to sell my bed frame and had only scheduled a junk removal service on the off chance that no one bought it beforehand.
However, when my bed frame sold just a day before the appointment, I felt bad and decided to keep the appointment so that they could still get paid even though they'd only be helping me carry down a few bags of trash I could easily handle myself.
I messaged them... and received no reply for 3 hours.
So I called, and the associate I spoke with -- Jacob -- was nice but ultimately unhelpful. He could not confirm that his company would be able to come help me, even though we had a standing appointment and the job's requirements were now significantly easier to manage.
Nevertheless, I patiently waited another 2 hours to see of management would call me back. They didn't. So I called again, spoke with Anthony, but was still told that only "management" could decide if the new, easier job was doable.
So I messaged management via Thumbtack, letting them know that I'd tried to reach them three times and would appreciate a call by 9pm or else I'd consider the job cancelled.
9pm rolled by with no reply.
