I recently bought and began remodeling a new home. I hired Rick to build new kitchen and bath cabinets. He gave me great advice as I was going through the decision making process. He showed me my options for design style, wood selection, stain selection, and design. After the decisions were made and he got my project underway, it went very quickly. The finished product was just beautiful. He installed it quickly and efficiently. The transformation from the old kitchen and baths to the new was simply breathtaking. There were glitches along the way, but Rick handled them all with ease. He made me feel comfortable and taken care of. In the end, it turned out to be a great experience. And that wasn't even the best part, his price was the best I found! A great product at a great price. It doesn't get any better than that. I feel I definitely got the most for my money. I will definitely do business with him again, and I am happy to refer him to my friends and family.

During my search for someone that could build me an aquarium stand for my 125 gallon saltwater tank, I came across RAM woodworks. When I spoke with Kevin he told me that they never built one before and would be very much interested in building one. A week or so later we had a meeting to go over plans and I was impressed with the research he did to make sure that the stand would fit my needs. We had a few hiccups along the way but Kevin did everything he could to make up for them. The end result was a beautiful stand that was delivered to my house. I would recommend RAM Woodworks to anyone looking for custom cabinet work.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always make sure your contractor is properly licensed and insured to contract with you and perform work on your project. Licenses can be checked with the California State License Board here: https://www2.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/CheckLicenseII/CheckLicense.aspx While most unlicensed contractors are cheaper, their services come with an inherent risk. If someone working on your home or business is injured and does not hold the proper licensing or insurance, the homeowner may be held liable for their injuries. Licensed contractors are also required to be bonded for a minimum of $12,500. A bond is a guarantee by a third party that the contractor will perform and fulfill their contract. If the contractor does not perform, the bonding agency will pay for the project to be finished. When hiring an unlicensed individual, there is no guarantee that your project will be finished.
