Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Having the pleasure of meeting new people and being able to do some traveling. I love the reaction on my clients when they see the finish makeup look. Creating new looks. I love doing photo shoots and I like to help the photographer when needed. This is relaxing to me. I have another job that requires me to sit at a desk for 8 hours 5 days a week. So, when I get the chance on a shoot or any event I am there. I'm hoping soon to do this on a regular basis as my clients grow. So, I can leave that office job! Hoping its soon!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was 18 years old and started a job in a department store. I worked at a makeup and fragrance counter and learned how to apply makeup there. From there I loved it and kept learning. Later, I became an independent beauty consultant for 5 years. I have done weddings, party on friends and family to get more practice. Because the more practice you do the better you get. And I used friends and family for that and thank them. I have worked in other jobs not relating to makeup. But, I didn't stop doing it. I decided to get certified, because to me that will open more doors and people will see that you did something for yourself. I wanted to get more info on the makeup trend that's out now and more different products also. I love what I do.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I had the opportunity to work on a movie set. I was helping another makeup artist. I didn't really knew the concepts of working on a set. Like an hour into working I notice that the other makeup artist was gone and no one knew where she was. So, the whole job was on me. So, I took a deep breath and took one step at a time. I went on set to touch up the actors and had actors waiting back stage to do their makeup. I was back and forth. The director asked me where the other person was and I said I didn't know she didn't say. They were upset but, I told them I am here and I will do the best that I can. So, I was and am proud of myself for not falling apart at the moment when I was so needed. At the end they were so happy I conquered it and I feel it can do anything now!
