FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every function is completely different and needs to be fully understood before being quoted. For example, some dinner parties can take a day or days to prepare for depending on the menu. Sometimes I prepare food before I get to the party while other times I do prep for a couple days in the clients house. If I am giving a cooking class the variables could be the length of time of the class, who is supplying the groceries, prep time and equipment needed for class, etc... The best thing to do is talk through your situation with the professional to get the most accurate quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to keep it simple and fun for everyone! First- I like to chat a little with the customer to see what's important to them for their function and understand their goals. Second- Create a plan with the customer for their situation. Third- Do my best to create what will hopefully be a one of a kind experience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been fortunate in my culinary career to have experienced many facets of the industry from training in a four-star restaurant and writing for an Italian magazine to food styling, being featured on Food Network and hosting my own TV show.
