FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Miss Marlene brings over 25 years of experience as a preschool teacher and now dedicates her work to educating others on child safety in childcare settings. She provides training not only for childcare professionals, but also for the general public and healthcare providers as well. Anyone that wants to learn should take a CPR class. She is deeply passionate about teaching and has a unique ability to present important information in a way that is both simple and engaging. Many participants share that, even after taking CPR courses for years, this is the first time they truly understood the material—thanks to her approachable, clear, and enjoyable teaching style.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My journey into teaching CPR began after more than 25 years as a preschool teacher, where safety was always a top priority. I was given the opportunity to train staff in CPR/First aid, and quickly discovered a passion for teaching it. I make it fun and simple. No one likes a boring CPR class! I went on to work with several CPR training organizations throughout the Bay Area, further developing my experience and love for this field. Ultimately, I took the leap to establish my own CPR company, allowing me to focus on what I am most passionate about—empowering others with the knowledge and confidence to respond in emergencies and helping others. I love this quote from Mr. Rogers “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’” – Mr. Rogers
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with all kinds of customers from nurses to people starting their own home childcare business. We certify Girl Scouts to construction workers. From the new parent with a new baby to people learning how to stop major bleeding in an accident. We teach Everyone, because you never know when an emergency is going to happen. The more people know the better the outcome.
