I am so grateful to have found Heather. After looking everywhere for a local AP History tutor to help my daughter with her essays, I looked here after a friend’s suggestion. So glad I found her. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a brief interview students (and parents) to get as much background as possible. I customize my approach, reading materials and recommendations to the student's interests and areas for growth.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Masters in Fine Art, specializing in writing and printmaking. For over 10 years, I taught writing at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, CA. I have also been trained in the Lindamood-Bell reading system for elementary age phonics and reading education.
