Introduction: McKee Commercial is the San Diego commercial real estate investment sales, leasing, and property management division of McKee Company. McKee Company was originally founded in 1982, and in 2013 Keith Herbert formed the company’s commercial real estate property management and leasing division, McKee Commercial. Property types serviced include office, retail and apartment complexes. Most clients are private investors and fiduciary trustees. I thrive on thinking outside of the box and finding hidden value in a property. I believe in that there is always room to improve and you must constantly be looking at new ways and methods to do so.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Each property is unique and the amount of work and use of resources required varies greatly from property to property. Mostly, our management fee ranges from 3% to 6.5% of the monthly gross income received. (I.e., If your property's income is $20,000 per month, with at 5% management fee our cost is $1,000 per month.)

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    We discuss goals and objectives for the property in detail in order to prepare a game plan for success. Once hired, we do the majority of the work for the management transition including notifying tenants, vendors, reviewing lease files, etc. We can set up a new account in less than a week. Our clients are welcome to be as involved or as little involved with their properties as they wish.

    San Diego State University - 2002 Bachelors of Science Degree - Finance (Real Estate Emphasis)
