We contracted Jeff and Rick after getting bids from 5 other companies. We mainly dealt with Jeff for the majority of the job. He is very professional and detail-oriented, which we appreciated. He sent us an estimate and we hired him soon after- but then he told us he made a mistake and needed to charge 15% more for labor costs. We negotiated what we thought was more reasonable and he agreed. After a few more weeks of delay, he told us that Rick underestimated another portion of the job and would have to charge more as well. By this point (5 weeks after officially telling them they were hired), we were anxious to get started so we again agreed to the change. They started a week later and were done in three weeks.
The good news is that we're very happy with their craftsmanship- everything looks exactly like we wanted it to. We were just disappointed with all the changes and delays. We will consider them for future jobs as their price for this project was very reasonable compared to other contractors.

Communication, pricing and scope of the work to be done is where these guys falter. It was bad enough that I didn't hear back from them for three days until an hour before they wanted to show up for an estimate. After personally meeting with them to go over the scope of the work to be done I reached out again to them the next day for a price. Was quoted one price but then later told that it did not include the full scope of the work that we had discussed. They then wanted an additional 40% to complete the entire scope of the work we had discussed. Keep in mind their pricing was a labor only quote since we provided materials so there was no variable for the type of materials nor the manner of installation. They seemed disinterested in doing this small project so they're not getting our business on our larger $40k project either. Sorry guys, you need to work on your communication.

Jeff installed a solar tube in my home and did a terrific job. There was a discrepancy in overall brightness expectations and I was pleased to find that Jeff took the necessary steps to deliver a final work product with which I’m very happy. I would recommend Jeff for solar tube installation projects.
