About
***** 5% off for first time customers, just mention thumbtack! ***** Hi, my name is Sergey, and I’ve been a mover for many years now. From being the new guy on the crew, to running my own crews and eventually sending crews out to complete jobs for me, moving has been an amazing journey! I could truly say that when it comes to moving, I’ve done it all. From moving a house full of small miscellaneous items and nicknacks, to moving large refrigerators and couches, to moving oversized industrial machinery and grand pianos up to the 3rd floor, it all has been a great learning experience. But nothing beats watching a customer smile from ear to ear, knowing that they’re happy because you were able to do what no other company could do for them, or because their move took less time than they expected and not a single item or wall/floor/ceiling was damaged! And that’s exactly why I’™m still in this industry, and why I hire nothing but quality people that feel the same about moving as I do. Every one of our movers actually cares about our customers and their personal property, so they make sure to treat the things that they move as if they were their own. The lead movers in charge of running the jobs communicate with the customers throughout the move, making sure that they understand what we’re doing and why, and we always make sure that when we’re done with their move, our customers are happy and stress free! Thank you for your time and for considering using us for your next move!

Couldn’t have asked for a better crew! Professionalism and care for my house, old and new, and all of my belongings and furniture was their top priority. Numerous times I overheard them communicating together to make sure they were on the same page and care was given to all items, walls, door jams and everything else most movers don’t give the time to care about. Highly recommend!!

Sergey and Raul from New Generation Moving were exceptional in terms of the quality of the work they did for us, particularly moving a piano. They have a lot of experience, are efficient and extremely careful with each item, from the moving of the furniture pieces out of the home, into the truck and then back into the new home. They also proceeded to take the extra step to hook up our dryer for us. I can only highly recommend this company and both Sergey and Raul. You will not be disappointed. U. Levine

Details: Upright • No change in floors to load the piano • No change in floors to unload the piano • 11 - 20 miles

I submitted a request to help get my uhaul unloaded and some of my furniture reassembled. Within an hour I had two strong, friendly, and professional guys at my door ready to put in work. I couldn’t have had such a smooth move without them. I’m very appreciative. As a single woman, I felt safe and confident with their presence and all my things were in tact and in place when they left. I will absolutely use them again in the future. They are extremely reasonable on price, too! Thanks guys! Couldn’t have done it without you!

Hired on Thumbtack

This is my first time hiring professional movers and I have read all the horror stories on the internet about the process. With that said, I can say that this company definitely jump started my faith in the moving business. Every move comes with its own set of unexpected challenges and circumstances. Raul and Damarcus rolled with all the punches and continued their service with expert confidence and customer reassurance that helped relieve the stress of moving. I would 100% hire again and recommend their services without any reservation.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you really click with the person you’re booking with, and that they’re informative and detailed when they explain things or answer questions. That’s your first and most important contact, so make sure you ask A LOT of questions! Even if you might think it’s a weird or a stupid question, ask anyway. If they can’t make a great first impression, then that’s not the company for you. And if they take it as far as making you feel like that was a stupid question, hang up, because they should already know and understand that movers do moves daily and already know the answers to the questions you’re asking because of their own experiences and mistakes, but you’ve never had the chance to make those same mistakes or experience those situations you might be asking about, so how in the world would you know? And if the rep can’t understand that, then they’re not really concerned about you or making you feel less stressed about one of the biggest moments of your life! Some people live in the same home for 10, 20, 30 years, or even longer. That’s where all their memories came from, that’s their safe place, and now they’re leaving. They want to take as many of those memories with them, and the things that trigger those memories! And they want them to show up at point B in the same condition as they left point A in, and they’re gonna be stressing about it until they see those things at point B, safe and sound. How much they’re gonna be stressing really depends on the company rep that they book with and on the actual movers as they arrive the day of the move. Typically the person you first end up speaking to (whoever you book with) represents the company’s views and beliefs, and that’s very important because if they prioritize you over the phone and treat you with respect, you know what kind of people the company tends to hire. And make sure to ask for a quote from several companies, don’t just go with the first one that sounds nice. A lot of the time you might like the first or second company that you ask for a quote from, but that’s only because you didn’t find the company that you will absolutely love! And when you do, you’ll know it! Also make sure to read through their reviews, as there are quite a few professionals now that are great, but a previous customer might not have clicked with them and decided to go on a rampage to ruin their name with 1-star reviews all because they didn’t like something about them. Make sure you read through not only the 4- and 5-star reviews, but especially go through the 1- and 2-star reviews. Those will truly tell you if the company is no good, or if the customer is just upset and wants to be mean because they didn’t get something their way. And sometimes that does happen, so be prepared to not always get every part of the move 100% your way! I can recall a couple times that my customers were upset that we were moving some things a certain way, or couldn’t move them at all. You have to remember, you might not agree with how we do a specific part of the move, but we move every day, and we do certain things because we found it to be the safest way to do those things, or the quickest (which saves you money in the end), or the way that would protect your things the most, or simply because that’s how we’re most comfortable doing those certain things. If you come in and try to tell us how to do certain parts of our job, when we’ve always done it a different way, we might mess up and damage something, or even worse we might get hurt or hurt someone else. As simple as moving seems, unless you’ve actually done a few moves yourself you wouldn’t really know how complex it could get. But the end result is always the same (at least with us): a happy smile on the customers face because everything got moved safely, with no damages, and nobody got hurt in the process! So when choosing a company that you’ll be hiring for your next move, just keep all that in mind, and make sure you absolutely love the company and the representative that you end up booking with, cause at the end of the day if you don’t, chances are the movers that come out to do your move will more than likely give off the same vibe, if not worse!
