Introduction: The difference maker for my training is in the attitude I bring to my work. I am a PROFESSIONAL trainer. I take my work seriously and my only goal is to get you the results you need. That means challenging, integrated workouts involving many different forms of training (where necessary): pilates, weight training, conditioning drills, powerlifting, balance training, speed drills, plyometrics, aerobic training, stretch work and many other techniques to help you get the results you desire. I do not take one single workout approach and apply it to everyone. Every person I work with is unique. That means every person I work with needs a unique workout tailored to their unique personality, their unique ability level, and their unique goals. I am not only there to push my clients, I am there to support, motivate and educate as well. I care about what I do and it shows in my training and in the results experienced by our customers. Personal training and physical fitness is not just a career for me, it is a profound personal devotion. By witnessing loved ones suffer from Diabetes and Heart Disease, I realized my desire to help others achieve healthier lifestyles and in turn, prevent illness and disease. I not only help my clients achieve their physical fitness goals, but also train clients for success in sporting events like tennis and marathon running. I am nationally certified; have extensive training in Pilates, Sports Conditioning, and nutrition; and I remain at the forefront of the industry's research, techniques and information.

Honestly, I'm not sure what I would do without Paul (and Donna). Yes. I said both of them. While I only workout w. Paul, Donna is also great and equally makes this place what it is. Ok, so I started working out with Paul almost 3 years ago. 3-4 times a week, for an hour. I'm not sure I've ever worked with a trainer who is so active in helping you achieve your goals, who pushes you, give you advice on eating routines (even if you are vegan or pescatarian, and helps you see actual results. I've literally recommended him to 3-5 people. They all took my advice, and all continue to go to him. One even moved to NYC and kept going to him when in town. If all those tangible things you'd hope to find in a trainer aren't enough, he's also hilarious. His humor, personality, and overall self is that of someone that I'd easily hang out outside of the gym. Hands down. It may not seem like a quality you need or want in a trainer, but trust me. When you're dead lifting almost 400lbs+, it's good to have someone who can help you focus first, and make it laugh afterwards. The actually studio is definitely a hidden gem. You could easily pass it and may not seem like much upon first site. Throw those thoughts out the window. I'm not sure there's ever been anything that I needed to do, that I couldn't do in this space. It's perfect! They do a nice job of using the space inside, the stairs, and the parking lot outside for farmer carries and tire flips or carries. Yes. Tire flips or carries. You've been warned :). Net net, personal trainers in LA get a bad wrap for being a certain type of person that really doesn't care if you hit your goals. Paul, Donna, and everyone else at fit connection are not those trainers. If you're lucky enough to get a spot with either Donna or Paul, do it. You'll more than enjoy it. Just don't take my time slot :) ha ha.

Donna is amazing and I look forward to our sessions every week! Very knowledgeable and will work with you at every turn to make sure you are successful and things are tailored specifically to you. Been with her going on 3 months and I’m almost to my goal for my wedding :)

The Fit Connection is a private gym that's clean, welcoming and I absolutely love. Paul has been my personal trainer for a year now and has always worked to accommodate my schedule. My husband has joined our sessions and Paul has pushed us both physically and mentally. The workouts are always hard, but totally worth it!

Hands down the best experience with a personal trainer! The work out, motivation and results were all there! Paul and his wife Donna are wonderful people and glad to be able to have met them. I was with them for a few months and the results are long lasting with the core work outs. I continued with them even after a life changing injury and Paul brought me back to my normal self, gained the confidence to continue moving forward. Would recommend to anyone looking to make a positive change in their life. Affordable and theyre able to tailor your work out regimen to your needs. Best part of all it goes down in their personal gym!

Donna is amazing! I've been with her for 2 months and I've already lost 7lbs (at 44 years old)! She is passionate about fitness and cares for her clients. I always feel as if she has my best interest in mind. I highly recommend Donna to anyone who wants to make a change for the better!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Our typical process with a new customer normally encompasses a weigh-in, where we take bodypart measurements, bodyfat measurements and track their weight. Additionally, we sit down and discuss their nutritional intake and how it can be modified to suit their goals. If necessary, we give nutritional plans as well. Lastly, our workouts start with a slow buildup. We push our clients, but only to the degree that they are capable of being pushed. Normally the acclimatization period lasts a few weeks and our clients are up to speed and can do more challenging workouts.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    We are nationally certified and are also certified in CPR.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?
