Lil' Guppies Swim School LA enters its 20th season of operation, offering private swim lessons for all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. Min. age: infants Max. age: none! Lil' Guppies Swim School offers flexible rates, schedules and classes: private, semi-private, youth and adult fitness swim, mommy/daddy and me, stroke development, lifeguarding services and more! All instructors are infant, child and adult CPR and 1st aid certified, with backgrounds in competitive swimming, coaching, lifeguarding, fitness, child development, and education. Lessons are currently offered throughout Los Angeles county. Lil' Guppies is a traveling swim school and will come to you!* Please contact us directly to inquire if we offer services in your area! * YOU MUST HAVE ACCESS TO A POOL. Amazing experience for my 3 year old grandson. Heidi is a natural with children and finds ways to keep it fun while making progress in gaining skills and comfort level in water. Having had a bad experience with another company last year, we were apprehensive, but Lil Guppies has been nothing but JOY!

Amy, that owner of Lil' Guppies is so responsive and professional. We were able to set everything up very easily through her. Our instructor is Adrienne and she is so good with our kiddo. Our toddler took to her instantly and, just after one time in the pool together, he has grown so much more comfortable/at ease in the water! He even asks when he will see her again! We will be working with Lil' Guppies on a package of 8 (twice a week for 4 weeks) and we can't wait to see how much progress is made between now and then. Definitely recommend.

Communication with Amy was extremely easy, since she’s very responsive. I found their service very professional. My trainer is Max and my sessions with him were amazing. He’s a very patient instructor and very organized. I like that each lesson had a structure and all of it made sense together at the end of the 6 sessions. His step-by-step approach helped me gain all the skills needed and more importantly he ensured each step was towards making me more comfortable with water, which helped me tackle my claustrophobia. I am now able to enter water with zero hesitation! His style and instruction were consistent and he always ensured safety. He also pushed for repetition and constant practice. That kind of investment of time and attention is rare. He created an environment where I felt safe and could learn at my pace. I would strongly recommend him!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Please make sure you have your own pool or access to one - we are a traveling swim school and we come to you! We also now have a brand new location at Imagine Nation Encino (91436)! Also please understand that as a service that comes to you, our rates will be slightly higher than a YMCA or Public Pool where your child takes group lessons and does not receive as much 1-on-1 attention as what we provide.
