Goal(s) of golf lessons
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am a PGA professional who loves to play and teach the game of golf. For more than 30 years, I have been playing golf and have been teaching it for over 17 years. I turned professional in 1993 and have been a class A member of the PGA of America since 1998. I enjoy teaching the seasoned golfer as well as the beginning golfer of all ages. My goal as an instructor is to make each student's experience as enjoyable as possible. At the same time, I want every student to improve their fundamentals and gain a better understanding of their swing in order to play better and increase their enjoyment on the course. I believe that all golfers, whether beginners or world-class players, must work on the basic fundamentals of the swing. Virtually, all top players have a proper grip, appropriate stance/posture and correct ball position. Everyone from recreational to aspiring tour players should follow their lead and develop correct fundamentals. In addition to my 17 years of experience teaching hundreds of students, my teaching style has been influenced by reading numerous books, watching and studying video, using training aids, and attending PGA of America seminars featuring the world's top instructors. Past and current students have had success in lowering their handicap, winning club championships, winning regional events, qualifying for USGA national events, playing collegiate golf, become PGA professionals and play on the PGA tour.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

In seeking a golf professional to help you with your game, insure that the individual has an active accreditation with the PGA or LPGA, or, has demonstrated an inarguable ability to help players of many levels improve through many years of practice. Call the instructor and ask to meet with you to discuss your game and improvement goals prior to starting an instruction program.
