David offered an initial consultation, during which he showed me was familiar with the type of case I needed handled, and also did a great job detailing the options I had available to me moving forward. His professionalism, expertise, and knowledge convinced me he was the right person for the job, and I ended up choosing to work with David. He was very prompt in communication, and worked with me closely to revise and ensure the final legal product created was to my satisfaction. Thank you David for the help. Hiring and working with a lawyer is rarely an experience I am enthusiastic about, but considering the situation for what it was, I am very happy I found David through Thumbtack because he helped me resolve a big headache.

Nancy was my mediator when I went through my divorce. She made the whole divorce process a lot smoother to handle. It's so stressful but Nancy was always very professional, very calm and she took the sting out of the whole situation. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Nancy always responded quickly to emails. She got us through the divorce process in a very timely manner.

We provide positive solutions for your family during a difficult period in your lives. Our services include the following: * parenting agreements * separation and property * settlement agreements * support agreements * antenuptial agreements * reconciliation agreements * parent-child agreements * cohabitation agreements Mediation is a voluntary, flexible, non-adversarial and confidential process for resolving your divorce or other family law issues, with the help of a neutral mediator who will assist you in reaching an agreement. Jackie is not a judge or arbitrator and cannot force anyone to do anything. Any agreement which is reached must be acceptable to both parties. You and your spouse retain complete control over your family law matter, and can be far more creative than the courts in designing a solution that works for your family. The entire tone of mediation is one of working together to reach a solution, rather than trying to vanquish or destroy the other party. There is usually great power in the negotiation and discussion by both parties together in a neutral setting. What is mediation and how does it work? · Mediation allows both parties to identify, negotiate and resolve the issues raised by the decision to divorce. · Each party will have an opportunity to ask all their questions about the process, and decide if mediation is right for them. A detailed agenda is formulated that includes gathering of relevant information, clarification of issues, identification of hot button items, draft settlement terms, cooling-off periods, and a resolution process. Each topic, such as alimony or holiday schedules, is discussed separately, so that the task of creating a complete agreement is broken down into manageable pieces. · Firm ground rules are established and the mediation takes place in a confidential environment so that emotionally charged issues can be talked about safely. You will be provided with informational hand-outs about the mediation process, and all forms are explained and information needed to accomplish a property settlement. We help both partners gather necessary information and review it systematically. · At times, Jackie lets the parties shape the negotiation; other times, she will guide their discussions. She will often formulate solutions that are more creative than the courts and more closely fit the needs of both parties. · When both partners are part of the process of creating parenting agreements and financial distribution plans, there is a better chance of meeting the needs of the entire family. Mediated divorces have a higher rate of satisfaction and long-range cooperation, and a lower frequency of costly returns to court.

The reasons mediation should be your first option versus litigation: In disputes between two or more parties, consider the concept of mediation as the first and best option prior to committing to litigate. For instance, one can ill afford to live with the stress that surrounds the litigation process. Additionally, the negative effects experienced before, during and after the litigation process may last a lifetime. Stress of this magnitude may contribute to health problems, sleep disorder, and consume cognitive ability. The cause and effect experienced from a significant negative event can contribute to additional negatives to a theoretical infinity, unless the stress surrounding the event is addressed correctly. How does the process work? A neutral party will guide your mediation. The resolution process is about you and fixing what is broken. If your automobile's engine were in need of repair, would you take it to a brake specialist? Thus, in every problem we encounter in our lives, whether it is a broken car or non-functioning air-conditioner we find the right person to facilitate the repair. Similar to a bricklayer learning that he or she is unable to execute their craft without mortar, trowel, and devoid of a finely tuned skill set, any mediator's effectiveness within the mediated process directly correlates to the quality and quantity of his or her resolution tools. Moreover, they need to be easily accessible and interchangeable to achieve the correct result. In a similar context, I earned an advanced degree in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation from Abilene Christian University (ACU) in Abilene, Texas to gain a diverse and well-rounded solution oriented skillset. The highly regarded ACU conflict resolution program, coupled with a diverse set of life experience combines into a powerful set of conflict resolution tools. Thus, I can use traditional and cutting edge resolution methods with a dash of creativity within any mediated process. In complement to the process, the parties will be encouraged to find a compatible, workable, and fair resolution to their conflict. As I explained, this process is not about me, but it demands that I know what I am doing for your benefit. Thus, I will continue to educate myself academically to increase that benefit. In the same context, I have also acquired certificates in Conflict Resolution, Mediation, and Advanced Mediation of Marital Disputes from the Duncum Center for Conflict Resolution and ACU, which serve to strengthen my overall skill set. I can approach and nullify conflict in a variety of ways, but I will continue to improve this part of the process. I can address problems and issues associated to conflict from a religious, spiritual, biblical, or secular perspective, but I will always try to improve this part of the process. However, it is important to highlight that I have a broad set of experiential knowledge that I can call upon. For instance, I have successfully nullified conflict associated to approximately one-hundred individual real estate transactions. However, much the same as in everyone's life, this experience represents a single color to a multi-dimensional spectrum of colors that combine into experiential knowledge. Nevertheless, I have many tools that I can call upon to achieve the best result, which in my perception is a successful resolution and lasting peace. I have the skills and experience to fix and mend family, marital, transaction, business, and / or workplace relationships. Specifically, my specialties include mediating real estate, business, family, and marital disputes. I have extensive experience in the field of real estate and investment finance. I can comprehend and unravel complex investment and business matters. So this is a little about me, but everything in this respect is what I can do for you, and how my experience and education can bring positive change and peace.
