Introduction: All of my work in the world of words is informed by more than four decades as a professional journalist, covering some of our time's most-compelling people and issues for some of the world's greatest publications. My work has been published in a diverse array of periodicals that ranges from magazines such as Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated, Vibe and US to major newspapers like the Washington Post and LA Times. As this list suggests, il've covered sports, news, entertainment and issues of culture and society. Additionally, i have undertaken investigations and authored columns. Between 2011 and 2013. I was the host of a public affairs radio show --- Greater Long Beach -- named after the online magazine I founded in 2010. My career has taken me to two Olympic Games, three Super Bowls, 10 Rose Bowls, the World Series, the Oscars, Emmys and Grammys, the OJ Simpson and Snoop Dogg murder trials. Among literally thousands of interview, I've had memorable conversations with the likes of Muhammad Ali, Bob Hope, Tommy Lasorda, Gwen Stefani, Red Skelton and Gene Autry. It all adds up to a long and sucessful commitment to accuracy, understanding and clarity---a never-ending passion for communication. I enjoy the privilege of being one of the first to know and the responsibility of ensuring that others get the truth.
