I found the Thumbtack app in 2018 and, it's safe to say, has substantiated a cornerstone of what my portfolio is today. I have been blessed to have landed some enormous projects that ultimately have kept me busy since I began with the app. I can definitely say that I have not needed to use the app, on a constant basis, because of the relationships I have created from working with Thumbtack.

Erik did an incredible job on our butcher block counter tops. The angles were difficult for the average person so we hired Erik and he went above and beyond with his work making sure everything was lined up perfectly and sealed off. He was super flexible with our schedule and was professional every time he came over. We couldn’t recommend Erik enough and will use him for any future carpenter work we have.

Erik installed a couple of replacement slab doors, which isn’t exactly easy. He got to work with his router and saw, and the doors were evenly hung on the original frame, with exactly matching mortises. Didn’t have to replace the trim... a lot of carpenters would prefer to rip out the old door and ask to install a new prehung one (I know, because I asked around). Prehung is more expensive material, more replacement material for the door casing, and more time and money spent on repainting. Why would most do it this way??? Because it takes more skill and care. This guy is an actual carpenter, though, and knew how to replace correctly with a slab door. Erik was extremely courteous, too. Even on his way out he did a slight adjust on my entry door that he noticed needed tweaking, just because he noticed it and knew he could solve the issue in no time. Highly recommended carpenter.

Rick Rios installed about 100 sq ft of hardwood flooring so as to match up with existing hardwood. Very happy with results. Rios' subcontractor who did tile work at the same time also did excellent work.
