FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am a licensed Architect but charge a low rate for my time and the time of my production (drafting) people. I have very little overhead.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step to visit the site and meet with the potential clients. At the meeting we get to know each other and discuss what work the client(s) want accomplished. From this meeting I can develop a detailed scope of work and apply a cost to each of the tasks identified in that list. If there is a complex design review process I can only establish an estimate of that work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Architecture from UC Berkeley (1969). Since graduation I have worked for regional design firms and founded and run my own firm. The work has been varied, including single family and multi-family residential, commercial, office, light manufacturing that included clean rooms, public schools and container terminals. All of this work has involved complex clients such as teachers and school boards. The projects have been complex such as container terminals. The approval processes have also been complex, often involving both local and State agencies.
