Introduction
I run a pet care business that prides iteself in providing quality service and experience for the familys of the bay area. There are 2 of us who work diligently and effectively to work with your work schedule and the schedule of your family members (4 legged friends). We offer daily visits, walks, and overnight care. I love cats and dogs because they help make our lives richer and rewarding. Every animal is unique and they deserve to be treated with unconditional love and respect. I have so much gratitude for people who welcome animals of all kinds into their lives and invest the time needed to provide those animals with a home. I feel honored to be able to be apart of that progress. I have 4 cats of my own (no dogs) but I have over 10 years experience working with dogs of all temperament and ages.

Rebecca was such a great find for our family and especially our pets. We needed a morning sitter for our elderly dog and shy cat. Rebecca took exceptional care of both of them all while keeping us well informed with text messages and pictures. We felt very comfortable having her care for our pets and we look forward using her again.

Details: 1 dog • 10 years or older • Extra Small (1 - 15 lbs) • 15 minutes • No preference • Feeding • My home, venue, etc.

Rebecca has walked our dogs for almost 6 years now. When we first moved to the area we had 130 pound rescue Mastiff who was afraid of everybody. Rebecca immediately connected with her and a beautiful relationship was formed. Rebecca was like Mary Poppins with our dogs. We do not have the easiest dogs. Rebecca helps with consistent reinforcement of positive behaviors, healthy and constructive dog interactions and I absolutely trust Rebecca with the dogs, our house, everything. She is a godsend for us and has become part of the family. These are the pics Rebecca sent me yesterday when I was away:

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Volunteer director for a nonprofit group

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I became a volunteer director at a cat rescue while I was doing my college studies and ended up spending more time at the rescue than at school. I soon figured out that I wanted to do something that involved animals but wasn’t sure what. College became increasingly expensive and someone at the rescue suggested I start a pet sitter business. I didn’t think that was a real job but I soon learned how wrong I was.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you feel comfortable sharing your concerns without judgment. Your pet care provider should feel like a dear friend or family member.
