Elizabeth L. says, "I used La Villa construction for repairs and upgrades to my older home. He is a highly skilled licensed contractor with years of experience. I recently hired him to remodel my bathroom, repipe the sewer drains for the whole house, drywall, and add an extended roof on my sunroom which provided some much needed insulation. He has also built many adu's. He has a good work ethic which is a difficult find these days, honest and reasonably priced. He was thorough in his work and cleaned up after every job he's completed for me. He didn't take any shortcuts in his work. He cleaned up a lot of wires and old cables I had under the house that were left by other workers when I upgraded the electrical in my house and repiped the water line. He provided pictures of the completed work in areas that I could not see under the house. No job was too small for him. I would highly recommend him and will be using him for all my future construction repairs and needs. You won't be disappointed with his work."See more

FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is the best waterproof flooring for a basement?

There are several great options for waterproof basement flooring. For example, epoxy floors are waterproof but are thicker and sturdier than paint. Make sure the concrete substrate has been prepared for application.

Tile is a designer’s dream, giving you a moisture-resistant surface that’s infinitely customizable. Rubber sheets or tiles are also good waterproof options, particularly for playrooms, workout areas or laundry rooms.

Vinyl tiles and planks imitate wood or other materials very convincingly, provide moisture resistance and last a long time. And sheet vinyl is affordable and a great waterproofing solution for those in need of quick fixes.
