- What types of customers have you worked with?
For business clients, I strongly encourage separating their personal transactions. Run ALL business expenses through business bank account via checks and checkcards. It makes tax preparation less of a hastle come year end. I take their monthly bank statements and run the transactions through quickbooks. I then analyze the results and go over my them with the client. It gives them an idea of how well they're doing.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Helping a client out of a tax jam creted by a less skilled tax preparer. Experience, knowledge and dogged research came into play. The client was very appreciative. She has sent me 3 referrals since then.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask a lot of questions. When in doubt, ask more questions. Heed the advice you're paying for. Never ever wait till tax season to inquire about taxes. Never make business decisions before talking to your accountant or tax professional.
