Todd Peterson was prompt, professional and provided excellent customer service and helpful advice for our restoration. We've been working with Garrett and S.O.T.A. Construction since February 2016 in opening our restaurant called 'Aina in San Francisco and we couldn't be happier. He came in and gave us a quote on some minor work needed and had some cool ideas. From there he ended up taking on more than we had planned after seeing his work. The work he does is fast and clean, and he always has a new idea or solution before a problem even occurs. He's kept us incredibly on budget coming up with solutions within our spend, as well he's been VERY up front about any cost and keeping any additional work cost transparent. There were no surprises in any payments, he worked hard, and had amazing communication with us. He also did a great job doing custom woodwork for us for our bathroom, tables, a brand new wine rack, outfitting a whole wooden bar, etc etc. He was also knowledgable about restaurant quotes, permits required etc which really helped us throughout the process on an important commercial job. Very responsive and all round great guy. Overall Garrett and S.O.T.A. Construction went above and beyond on what we had asked for. Highly recommended.
I have lived in my house for 17 years, and the age of my house was clearly evidenced by my horrific tract-home kitchen. In looking to remodel, I contacted several contractors, and Josh promptly responded. I had several contractors over to my house to look at the space. Josh was the only one to actually HEAR what I was saying about the inefficiencies of my kitchen, and my ideas of creating more counter space. The other contractors simply wanted to remove and replace the cabinets and counter top that I had. Josh took careful time to assess the space, considered my thoughts, and provided his professional opinion. I agreed with him, and he said he would provide me with some drawings. I was stunned when I saw what my kitchen could look like. Of course, because he is a craftsman and not just a contractor installing pre-made cabinets, there was the issue of cost. Josh understood my concerns, the financial situation, and my budget and, again, provided a solution. (In hindsight, though, when looking at what I now have compared to what I might have had, the difference in bids was really apples to oranges.) I also want to mention that because the other contractors were going to use pre-made cabinets, I was told that I would have these filler-type areas (not sure of the correct term) where the space that did not perfectly fit with a pre-made cabinet would be un-utilized but covered. I can gleefully state that there is not an OUNCE of unused space in any of my cabinetry. Josh (and partner Mike) created special usable areas in my kitchen that make me smile every time I have to open them! Once the cabinets were built and ready for color, an issue arose with the availability of the individual Josh works with who specializes in this area. Not wanting to disappoint, Josh immediately engaged the services of another finish professional, and my cabinets got their finish, as promised. With respect to color, I did not want a canned type of color, and Josh told me to provide him with the color I wanted, and he would match it I provided my color and it was matched! The installation by Josh and Mike was quick and professional; they even coordinated the installation around another contractor who was installing my granite counter, understanding that everyone had an objective and a timeframe. The whole experience was an absolute pleasure, and the result was beyond my expectation. The cabinets are the work of professional craftsmen, not contractors. The quality cannot be compared to pre-made cabinets. My daughter-in-law commented my kitchen looks like something out of a magazine. To me, that is the ultimate compliment! I would encourage anyone looking to remodel/upgrade their kitchen with pre-made cabinets to give Josh the opportunity to assess your situation; you will be pleasantly surprised! And please do not hestitate to contact Josh directly if you would like to personally see his work, as I would love to show you my kitchen! Next, the bathroom . . . :)
Christian tore down a fence surrounding my duplex and installed a new fence with pressure treated posts, 3 pressure treated rails per section, and cedar boards. His initial response to my request for a bid was very prompt ( a matter of hours), he surveyed the job before giving me a bid within a day, and scheduled the job for a start date 3 days after my initial search for someone to do the job.
Mark is absolutely amazing! I wish all contractors could be like him. He is professional, friendly, very courteous, and his work is beautiful. I hired him to make custom cabinets for the bathrooms and he walked me through each step to customize my design. When he was unable to find a matching color for the countertop, he contacted a company he works with so I could look through pieces of granite and find a match. He installed the cabinets this weekend and the workmanship is beautiful. Solid wood, matching stain, and soft closing drawers. The price is on point as well. I would venture to guess that something of this size would be about the same price at Ikea, or some other cheap furniture place that uses particle board and laminate. I will be using Mark for all my custom woodwork needs - and there will be plenty.
I wanted a cabinet for my microwave off the counter. Scott of Accent Woodworks matched my previous cabinets(whitewash Maple) exactly and built a beautiful and workable cabinet. Would highly recommend him.
I recently bought and began remodeling a new home. I hired Rick to build new kitchen and bath cabinets. He gave me great advice as I was going through the decision making process. He showed me my options for design style, wood selection, stain selection, and design. After the decisions were made and he got my project underway, it went very quickly. The finished product was just beautiful. He installed it quickly and efficiently. The transformation from the old kitchen and baths to the new was simply breathtaking. There were glitches along the way, but Rick handled them all with ease. He made me feel comfortable and taken care of. In the end, it turned out to be a great experience. And that wasn't even the best part, his price was the best I found! A great product at a great price. It doesn't get any better than that. I feel I definitely got the most for my money. I will definitely do business with him again, and I am happy to refer him to my friends and family.
I met Don online while researching woodworking with re-purposed rustic wood material. Don invited me to come to Sutter Creek where he showed me his beautiful hand-made furniture. I can't forget his many pieces made with oak from french wine barrels and an amazing single-slab long bar made from a fallen redwood. I found a bunch of useable material to buy from him and he gave me some great woodworking tips. Afterwards I spent part of the afternoon working with Don organizing his wood material I Recommend Don for your job. I would hire Don in a heartbeat for any skilled craft or creative endeavor.
Refinished a table leaf, and it matched the rest of the table perfectly. Extremely satisfied with Chris Conrad's woodworking skills.
Mark did a great job with our fence. He was here when he said he would be and was very easy to work with. I am very happy with the quality of work.
I hired Robert to do a dry rot repair for a VA loan. The job needed to be done quickly and professionally. They went over and above my expectations so much so that I paid them above the contract price we agreed upon. I would definitely use them again for any woodworking job I had need of!
I have known about Mr. Larson's work for quite some time. I would absolutely hire this company. Their work is amazing, affordable, and great quality workmanship on time.

I create hand crafted items made from all types of wood. I specialize in wood turning and repurposing salvaged items to make custom creations.
I keep my business small and I am present on all projects because I feel that being onsite assures that the quality of the finished job is up to my standards. I also feel that if I am on the job the customer can talk to me and get answers to any questions that they may have. I take the small custom jobs that bigger contractors may not be interested in.
All my urns are one of a kind, dovetailed, and assorted woods (cherry, oak, walnut, mahogany, and ash). All the material is pre-stained and then made, which makes a very unique combination of natural woods and stain. The tops are cut hip roof-style with a sliding secret compartment for documents, jewelry or whatever. These urns are more of an heirloom urn, the ones that you just don't know what to do with, so you put them on a fireplace mantel or hand them down to the family.
