Shaun helped to build a fence on my property (as a replacement for the old one). The project was complex because of the slope. What also added to complexity, I wanted NW corner to be lower, because I have a nice view opening from there, but at the same time, if looking from the outside, I wanted the fence not to look odd and uneven, also didn't want to compromise privacy. Shaun managed to figure everything and fit it exactly as I wanted, and he took advantage of the slope, and the natural landscape features, and was able to fulfill all of my somewhat contradictory requirements. He was very creative and inventive while building it, also he's a very fast thinker, this is amazing. I couldn't be happier with the result, I believe, no one else would be able to repeat this, seriously. Also, overall quality of work is superb, very high attention to detail and all these things he did for stability and longevity. His professionalism is also truly impressive. He knows everything about materials and their life cycle, he knows a lot about construction and how to properly build complex structures so they look great and last. I'm very impressed, he can do anything. Highly recommend!

I skeptically hired Shaun of Details Matter after a bad experience with a previous contractor who I will call Shortcut Sam. Shaun swept in and quickly fixed projects that were done wrong to begin with. He has expertly reinstalled doors, windows and trim inside and out. It was painful to have to hire someone just to repair projects we already paid to have done and Shaun was very empathetic to our situation. He works so fast, is very clean, explains everything beforehand and cleans up after. It’s been exciting to see the progress he’s made. He’ll be working on installing a shower next and I have no doubt the project will be beautiful.
