Working with people and making them laugh! That's a big part of the reason I love photography...BUT when I'm sitting at home and looking thru the images and come across one that wows me, not because of my talents, but because of someones beauty, that's a bonus for me!

Julie was wonderful! She was immediately responsive, was very professional and personable. Good and reasonable prices. I’m kind of awkward with pictures but Julie didn’t care! She made it work! She was awesome with our silly dogs and worked hard to get them to like her and look at the camera 😝 She gave great direction and tried many locations within the park we chose. She was really easy going and easy to talk to which is a big one for me. We will def be hiring Julie for pictures in the future!

Working with Julie for our engagement photos was such a great experience. From the start, she was super responsive and friendly. I liked that she recommended La Jolla tide pools for our shoot. It was such a beautiful location and the few pictures we got back turned out amazing. She was really good at making me and my fiancé feel comfortable and directing us through each pose. She had so many good picture ideas and even let us give her some ideas. Half way through our shoot, we got soaked by a wave and right away, Julie offered to reschedule for another day at no extra cost. We planned on doing a shorter session (30 min) but it ended up being almost an hour and she even offered to wait a bit til the sun went down to get golden hour pictures. We would definitely use Julie for any future photos and refer her to our family and friends. If I could, I would give her 6 stars!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Like most photographers I guess, its the love of photography. I used to take photos for everyone I knew and usually it was on a "donation" basis. But it was those friends who encouraged me to start charging and admit that I was a professional. Of course, that was years ago and have no trouble admitting it now! I AM a professional.
What types of customers have you worked with?
What I do most, and even best, because I love it so, is Weddings...I've shot over 150 weddings and have loved each one! Each one I shoot is a new experience for me! So yes, I'd say Weddings are my most common, and favorite!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My biggest piece of advice I like to give Brides and grooms is to find a photographer that makes you feel comfortable. If youre not comfortable with someone who's going to be with you ALL day, it will show in your photos.
