FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard fee is $125 per session. However, for some clients, I am willing to provide a sliding scale rate based on household income. It's important to note: most PPO insurance plans will reimburse a partial or full amount of a therapy session if using an "outside provider". I would provide you with what’s called a “superbill”, which is an invoice for service and you turn that into your insurance company for potential reimbursement. This is worth reaching out to your individual insurance company to see if you qualify. I also take HSA cards.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually a client will reach out and give a brief overview of what brings them to therapy. This can be done over the phone or via email, whichever you feel is more comfortable. If we decide that I would be a good fit for what you hope to achieve in therapy, you'll come into the office for an initial session where I'll gather some history and better understand your individual situation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I obtained my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, followed by my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Gold Gate University in San Francisco. I have worked in a myriad of different setting including schools, community based, and private practice.
