Being a licensed architect in 5 states with 20+ years of experience, I am seasoned in working on all types of projects with all types of people. On top of that, I am a patient and thoughtful listener. I will make every attempt to produce a unique and appropriate design that meets the Client's budget and expectations. From the initial consultation, if the budget appears inadequate for the desired program, I will discuss the alternatives and offer suggestions. I want to enter every project with a realistic and attainable goal. My passion is architecture. Good architecture. The scope of the project does not matter, but the quality is key. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour but I provide a very accurate proposal which outlines my fees and services. Typically, I provide complimentary hours of service if there is a slight over run due to unforeseen issues. I attempt to help out my client knowing that there are many grey areas in the field of construction.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Interview a potential client, preferably at the future job site. Follow up with a very detailed and informative proposal. I attempt to educate my clients as best as I can so that they can prepare for their project's budget, time frame and code requirements.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, it is a requirement by law.
