- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $50 for an in-home consultation and $100 per hour of training after that. I do not do packages because I think it's best the client pays as they go. They only continue the training if they want to.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first come to the home to get to know the family of the dog and see how relationships and the environment may play into the behavior of the dog. I then usually focus on working primarily with the dog to establish a relationship and a strong foundation for training. Once the dog is up to speed, I then train the family.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went studied at San Diego State University, majoring in psychology and emphasizing in animal behavior. I also worked at San Diego Zoo's Safari park. I did observational studies with the African elephants and many primates. I have also done two internships at Oakland zoo.
