Ilana has been a great teacher and working with her over the past few months I've been able to refresh most of my playing abilities after a 12-year hiatus (plus learn to play new musical styles and music theory concepts as well). She is very patient, flexible and pushes you to continue improving your playing without making it a stressful experience. I highly recommend Ilana if you are looking to get back into playing violin or are a first-time student!
Michael is an incredibly talented musician that delivers on musical requests with ease, professionalism, and dedication. He provides high quality music for a variety of purposes and goes the extra mile in preparation, music arrangement, and coordination with other musicians. He turns any musical wish into a reality! His talent is apparent and his ability to adapt and be flexible to the style of music needed is unparalleled. He played in my wedding three years ago, and I have yet to meet another violinist who can do what he does at the level he does it.

Violinist for all occasions playing all styles of music plus fun violin lessons of all styles for all ages!
Laura teaches both me and my almost 4 year old daughter. She's an expert violinist and she interacts very well with both of us. She's extremely patient with my daughter, and teaches her in a way that she can understand well. Despite being am expert, she's a very down to earth person, and both of us eagerly look forward to the classes. We're having a great experience with Laura. Thumbs up!!
My main instrument is piano, however I have taken a year of violin lessons during my composition studies in Austria. I wanted to focus on my string instrument writing and also develop my violin playing skills (at the age of 33!). Dr. Elizabeth proved herself to be a great teacher, who didn't only make my lessons fun (believe me, it's not that easy when you are at a certain age), but also made made things very interesting to me by relating the techniques I learned to string instrument writing (which is an amazing experience for a composer!). Sometimes when I arrived early for my lessons, I observed Dr. Elizabeth with children and talked to some of the students' parents. They all speak highly of her and are very happy with their children's musical development. I am (also) a music teacher at UC Berkeley, and have seen all kinds of teachers throughout my career and I can confidently say that you can't go wrong with Dr. Elizabeth. I still continue my weekly lessons and am amazed how much I've developed as a violinist since we started working together. Thank you Dr. Elizabeth, see you next week!

We are two violinists who play for weddings, parties, and more! We both have been playing for over 14 years. We love the music that we play, and it definitely shows.
