I contacted So Cal 1 Plumbing after part of my main sewer line was blocked and sewage backed up into one of my bathrooms. Miguel showed up and gradually troubleshooted the issue with his team, which took a little over a day given that the blockage was along part of the main sewer line that forked off the primary connection under my front yard. This fork had no cleanout serving it so it required a hole in my yard to investigate it after hydro jetting failed. Miguel walked me through what they had discovered and used the in-pipe camera to show me that it was a worst-case scenario - the blocked fork of the main line had become completely filled in with tree roots and the rest of the main line was compromised with roots beginning to intrude all along it. So the whole line needed to be replaced or at least cleaned and lined if I wanted to avoid a similar failure from happening again soon. Even though the large scope of work was unexpected, the next day Miguel showed up with a team of 10 people who managed to dig up the old fork, replace it with a new abs pipe, install a liner along the rest of the main line, and put back all original soil. All within a single day. They documented their work with photos and I periodically came out to inspect. I can appreciate that Miguel and team do not take on work unless they are confident that they can do it correctly in a way that they can uphold the 10-year warranty that they gave me on their labor. To this end, Miguel came back twice after the work (at no additional cost) in order to help repair a sprinkler line that got damaged when filling back in the hole. The second time he came back, the issue ended up not even being related to their work yet they were kind enough to help me fix it at no additional charge. While I sense that their overall price was not the least expensive on the market, it was still reasonable and well worth it when considering how quickly they executed the work, how high of a quality they did it, and how committed they are to their customer’s satisfaction.

I am a senior person and after a major water main break I was without water for almost two weeks and getting scammed for almost 20,000, I was really scared to learn I now had a major sewer problem. I had used Thumbtack before and remembered I had great service. I called so-cal 1 plumbing & rooting and was greeted by a helpful voice (Fed) who scheduled an appointment for the next day. Miguel came out and I watched him do his inspection, fearful maybe I had another con artist, but to my surprise. I was listening to a real professional who had the equipment and knowledge to fix my problem with some humanity of my serious situation. He knew his business and was responsive to my major problem. He started work as soon as we finished the agreement. For the next couple of days I was notified what time Miguel would start wrk and finish for the day. I was so anxious from the previous situation, the policy of including me in the schedule each day helped with the anxiety, Miguel was able to keep me informed which also helped. As far as I am concerned I have now found the co to call for my plumbing needs as long as Miguel is on the job. Thank you So-cal 1 for your well run co.

I wanted a second opinion because I didn’t like my home warranty’s contractor and coverage on a toilet problem. I requested a service thru thumbtack, and So-Cal 1 plumbing and rooting was the first that responded within 1 min. Mario came out in a couple of hours. He was friendly and professional. He gave me a transparent, thorough, and detailed explanation and answered all my questions with honesty. I decided to hire this plumber for the work although I already paid a service call of $95 to my home warranty. The job was done cleanly on the same day. I was so happy to find a skilled and trustworthy plumber. Highly recommended!
