Tommy did a great job on replacing our door. We had an old door going down to our basement that needed to be replaced. Needless to say it needed to have a custom jam built. Tommy came out took a look at the job and gave me price to replace to door for labor plus parts. He came out a couple of days later and took off the old door and stripped down the existing door jamb and then rebuilt it from the ground up. Hung the new door. Added in the lock and handle and the trim around the door. Looks fantastic. Took him a full day due to all the custom work that needed to be done. Very happy with the results

I had never used an app like Thumbtack before, but as a commercial & residential property manager I decided to give it a try. So Azat was the first contractor I met from Thumbtack! He showed up on time to give me a quote to replace and install a door and new locks, as well as touch up painting our other doors for our commercial property. He found the perfect door for us super fast so we quickly hired him and he finished the project the next day. I attached pics of our new door for our property’s warehouse. It’s a steel door, which I think was a great recommendation. It’s airtight which was important for us too. Good communication, prompt responses & kindness (which is a core value for us as a family). Overall, I’m happy with the outcome, but most importantly, I know our tenants will be too!

I have to tell you, I haven't seen a more patient, harder worker than Derrick and his team. I had him replace 15 doors in my home and I wish he could do everything that needs to be fixed in my home. He is so good at his craft, very meticulous making sure it's done properly to just being a really good guy. If you're in the market to find someone to install doors, interior or exterior, I would say not to go to anyone but Derrick. I can promise you he'll do a better job than anyone else you consider hiring. Hire him ASAP! Just trust me here.

Tommy was great initially, as I was venting over my damaged door as received by Lowe’s, while Tommy was espousing the terrible MMI product I just purchased, we vented together regarding poor quality and workmanship, which sometimes happens with low dollar products and services, while I paid top dollar for Tommy to find solutions, zero haggling on my part for his service price. A solution that Tommy elected to incorporate by modifying the lower door hole into an oval WITHOUT asking for my input, or allowing me to measure the 5 1/2” hole to hole, failed at about the 3 month mark, plunger would not enter into striker plate, door wouldn’t close. I also began to notice the entire higher dollar Baldwin hardware set was moving, back and forth about 1/8”, pivoting from the top hole, slightly arcing at the bottom. So I disassembled the hardware yesterday to investigate. What I found, surprisingly, is a few workmanship issues, that caused the system to not function properly. In addition, a hinge screw was omitted, and two machine screws at the bottom hole plunger mechanism were omitted, also contributing to the mechanism failure. Also, bottom long bolt for the handle trap was found cross threaded, which ruined the threaded hole, rendering it unusable. I paid $473 for the Baldwin handset, part of which is now damaged, threads/bolt. Again, not expected at all for the top $ I paid. I’m very disappointed. Tommy was unable to own the workmanship issues via a customer service approach, and instead served up zero humility in his response, and a type of “blaming the Customer” approach. The venting over poor workmanship in this case only applies to other companies, but not Tommy’s, he runs a perfect operation, and did not make any mistakes, nothing to see here folks. Learning and maturing can often be painful. I trust Divine Door Works can learn from this exchange, find a dose of humility, and serve customers better going forward. I’m spending my time and money fixing the workmanship issues at this point, replacing parts as well. Factor that into any costs you’re quoted from this company.

He was great at communicating and understanding our needs, he was very punctual, and went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right. We had a really good experience with Azat. He was able to squeeze us in and came right away. When he came he immediately got to work. He was professional and cleaned up afterwards. He worked really hard and was very polite and thorough. He also had very reasonable pricing compared to other quotes we got. We felt like the value was there and he didn't try to uncharge us. I also liked that he was very understanding that we were not experts on doors and didn't know much about the installation so he gave us some guidance so we could understand the process.
