Curtis was very professional and easy to work with. He listened to our requests/ideas for our ADU project and came up with a perfect plan for us. I had an excellent experience working with Curt. He helped me design my new house after my old one burned down in the Eaton Fire. Every step of the way, Curt was helpful, professional, and would go above and beyond for us as clients. I'm building my house now and Curt has been one of the people who has given me and my family a lot of hope for the future. Kurt drew my plans exactly the way I wanted my ADU about a month or so later he called me and asked how was the building going? I told him I didn’t have a contractor and he immediately gave me Greg Preston, who was incredibly exemplary just the way Sturgill and associates were my ADU is about 3/4 of the way finished and I owe it all to Kurt Sturgill. he’s amazing. I would recommend him to anyone.

Curt has been responsive throughout our project. It is ground up rebuild due to fire. We talked about what we wanted in the new home and Curt had great ideas and was very helpful. We felt we were in good hands with him. His pricing was very reasonable. We would use him again!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is no charge for the initial site visit to view the property and discuss the plans you have for your home. Following the visit, we will present you with a proposal to take your project from conceptual design through completion of architectural construction documents which have been approved by the Building Department.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once under contract, we work closely with you to develop a design that realizes the vision you have for your home.
This is most effectively done by breaking the design process into phases, typically consisting of conceptual floor plans, followed by a preliminary design, and finally the full set of architectural construction documents required to obtain a building permit.
We don't move into the preliminary design phase until you're happy with the conceptual floor plan, and we don't start developing construction documents until you're happy with the preliminary design.
We are here to implement YOUR vision for your project, and we've found that breaking the design work into phases keeps the designed aligned with your vision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In order to practice architecture in California, you must have a valid architectural license and satisfy continuing education requirements.
The California architectural license for the Sturgill Associates' principal architect, Curt Sturgill, has been in continuous good standing for over 30 years.
