Tom is super professional! He arrived on time, took a few minutes to scout the location and by the time we started, he had a pretty good idea of how to get the most out of the place. Tom was creative, gave us good direction, and he was willing to shoot until we ran out of ideas and spots! (This scores major points because we didn't want to feel rushed through out the whole shoot) We have a 1 year old, so it was important to work with someone patient enough! Price was more than fair, response time to deliver the pictures was even faster than promised and he even sent a few pics just a couple of days after the photo shoot. In short: hire Tom, he was great from beginning to end!

Tom was amazing! We had a very small and casual wedding ceremony on our beautiful college campus. I was happy to have found Tom, whose work looked great and whose price was extremely reasonable. Off the bat, his communication was excellent - he responded promptly with a quote, and again responded promptly, politely, professionally, and thoroughly when I had a bunch of questions before hiring him. Since we were coordinating our wedding ceremony from the east coast and weren't able to meet Tom in person, we video chatted a few weeks beforehand to ask him any additional questions and tell him a bit more about the wedding. His contract was very clear and fair. Because of his wonderful communication, I felt very confident before our wedding that working with Tom would work very well despite organizing everything remotely. We worked with Tom for three hours as he photographed our short wedding ceremony, and then took both posed and candid photos of my husband and I together and with our friends and family. On the day of the wedding, Tom arrived there early (before us!). He melded very well to our personalities and style, and I can certainly picture him doing the same with many different types of people. He made us laugh, and he listened to what we wanted and offered his own expertise in terms of poses and locations. The photos themselves turned out really great. He sent us both a link to a website (where photos can be downloaded) and a flash drive, each with full resolution images of every good photo (he takes out any where people are blinking, making weird faces, etc. that you wouldn't want anyway), which ended up being about 200 photos overall for our 3 hours. The photos were ready just two and a half weeks after our wedding, which is sooner than I anticipated. We have a really nice variety of different photos from the day of really spectacular quality. The photos are really flattering, and I can't wait to show them to all of my friends and family and hang them in my house for years to come. Overall, Tom was amazing in every way - communication, price, personality, and quality of photos. I can't believe what an amazing value we got. I would hire him again for any other photography services that I need, and I would certainly recommend him to my friends and family.

Tom was patient, we unfortunately were running late but Tom was ready to go when we got there. Tom and I had a conversation a week prior to discuss some ideas and I knew I could trust his talent when he asked me to bring my big 53" teddy bear to the beach lol. Also he was kind enough to send us some preview pictures just a day later. Overall he made us feel comfortable and we thank him for that.!!

For context, we hired Tom for our engagement shoot. We wanted two locations for our engagement pictures and our wedding photographer (hired long before we found Tom) was charging us an exorbitant amount to do the second location. That's why we turned to Thumbtack--to find something more reasonably priced. I wasn't sure what to expect, especially given the large difference in prices between our original wedding photographer and Tom. But, my wife and I decided to give it a shot, and we couldn't be more happier with what we got. Tom was awesome and very professional. We wanted a sunrise shoot which meant we would have to get to the site at 6:30 AM. Tom was there before we were!!! Things only went smoothly from there. He knew exactly what he was doing and helped guide us through the shoot (because obviously, we had no idea what we were doing). He went above and beyond with respect to service and his pictures were amazing--we absolutely loved the quality and the timeliness with which he delivered them to us. In fact, we liked him so much, we booked him to do a second event (our rehearsal dinner). Tom was awesome and you can't go wrong hiring him. We would do it again in a second.

For weddings, I usually do a pre-consultation to go over the details of the photo session, answer questions they may have, and to make sure that we are a good fit for each other. We go over what style they are looking for, my work process the day of, and to get the details of bridal party, daily plan, etc..
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied at the New York Institute of Photography. I'm also a proud member of the Professional Photographers of America as well as the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International.
