Introduction: I am a California Vocational Education credentialed Teacher, California Career Technical Education Teacher, as well as a California credentialed GED teacher. I specialize in teaching math from Arithmetic through Algebra (high school) and (college). I also teach Statistics. I provide tutoring services for students of all ages. I provide computer training to adults who want to improve their typing or software skills. I am a PC and Mac teacher. I have more than 10 years of teaching students from grades 1-12, and also adults. I find teaching to be a rewarding profession. Being able to help students overcome their fear and lack of understanding of math is my greatest joy. I am analytical and can truly help students learn their weaknesses and greatly improve their math skills.

Ms. Linda Coleman has excellent mathematical knowledge and is skillful in her ability to convey to those individuals attempting to learn math. Her explanations are clear and logical for anyone to follow. For example if someone is having difficulty in understanding either the problem(s) or concept(s) in any type of math problem, the end result is clarity for the student or recipient. Should extra help be needed, Ms. Coleman is more than happy to provide the extra help. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing Structure - Tutoring: Ages 6 - 13 1st Hour $20, 2nd Hour $20 minus $5 for two hour session. Ages 14 - 17 1st Hour $25, 2nd Hour $25 minus $10 for two hour session. Adults vary depending on the service.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with the client for an introduction to the parents ad student. I define my strategy of how I will build the student's skills and then move forward to help the student begin to grasp concepts that will be coming up in that particular grade level. I set standards for the student, and we work the first two sessions to develop a comfort level. From there we work together to strengthen the student's math skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a CTE credentialed teacher. My areas of teaching include; Math, Finance, Business Management, Business Startup strategies, Computer Applications, Statistics, Research, Resume Writing, Job Seeking skills, Typing, Document organization/file system setup.
