Our first time experiencing marriage counseling. With just our first session we've learned so much. Michelle explains everything so well from a man and woman's point of view. Really looking forward to our sessions with her.
Stephanie wonderful and she is helping me and my husband get over this dreaded hump in our marriage. She gives a safe space and a neutral environment that allows for us both to be comfortable.
I starting seeing Nancy with my husband for marriage counseling. After awhile it switched to individual sessions. I was comfortable talking to her from the very beginning, She is a caring, compassionate and non judgmental person. I was a patient of Nancy's for over 3 years. The only reason I am not a client currently is she moved to Camarillo. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family. I wish her well in her new adventure.
My husband and I love Cristi! She had a great outline for premarital counseling. We highly recommend her. She gave us a great foundation to the start of our marriage. Truly, she is a gem.
Ross has guided me, enlightened me, and enriched my life in many areas. He has served as my spiritual teacher, my yoga instructor, my family counselor, my instructor and facilitator in six different classes, and an officiant at the memorial service for my niece. In all these areas, his commitment to excellence, his personal touch, his research and intelligence, and his loving care and concern come shining through. My life is tremendously richer because of his impact.
I highly recommend Pastor Eddie Diaz as a counselor, he counseled me during my marriage also after I lost my husband. He grief counseled me, also with anxiety depression. So I highly recommend him.
I had a very enlightening experience with RHIFT! The counselor helped me view personal challenges in order to make the changes necessary for growth and development in my life.
I just started working with Tara so far it has been good.
We had a beautiful and incredibly fun wedding in Northern California, but our officiant, Brad Sarian, was the by far our favorite part of our wedding. Its easy to get caught up in the wedding planning, vendors, and the day itself, but through premarital meetings and the actual ceremony, Brad pointed my wife and I (and all our guests) to the true purpose of marriage. Brad is a great communicator, very approachable, and relatable, not just to my wife and I, but to everyone in attendance. I highly recommend Brad to be the officiant of your wedding.
Mary Jean brings a special sort of serene magic to a ceremony. One that calms the bride and groom while bringing all their loved ones' focus to the ceremony, culminating this beautiful energy bonding two people in marriage for life. Can not recommend Mary Jean highly enough.
So happy I found a therapist that understands what I go through. Dr. Maxine your great 😆
Matthew and I knew we wanted to marry and blend our families. When we found out we were able to have the older children live with us, we felt it would be better for our family to solidify with Marriage. We called on our friend Victoria, as an ordained Minister, she understood us, and knew we were committed to each other and our family. Victoria married Matthew and I in an intimate, touching ceremony where we had our first date. Victoria touched on reminders for us of love, commitment and God. We are so thankful she was there for us in this exciting time of our lives. Thank you Victoria!!
Ravid is a complete treasure! I came to know her after reading an incredibly compelling online article she had written. It resonated with some difficulties I had been dealing with in my life. After a couple of emails we began meeting weekly face to face over the internet. Having her guidance and feedback has led me to a place of peace that I had been longing to find for some time. I truly feel fortunate to have known her and highly recommend her as a counselor regardless of what stage of life or love you are in.
Ayamanatara performed our wedding in September of 2009. She paid meticulous attention to creating a day that fully incorporated our hopes and expectations as well as being representational of the community we were creating with our newly formed circle of friends and family. We received a multitude of compliments from our guests on the ceremony that she performed. We will always be grateful that she was such an integral part of our marriage's beginning.
Jeffery managed to see me at very short notice. I walked into his office in a very confused and upset state of mind. I have never had any kind of councilling before but immediately felt at ease. We talked over my issue and I left feeling a lot better than when I arrived. I cannot recommend Jeffery enough, he has given me the strength to see a way forward in my life at a time of great turmoil and emotional stress.

Sometimes, life just doesn't go the way we want. Too often, we find ourselves stuck in a bad place, leaving us hurt, lonely, angry or depressed, just plain out of control. Why is it that we do the things we dont want to do, and we dont do the things that we know are good for us? I provide a confidential, non-judgmental place to re-engineer your life. I will strive to help you experience growth from the pain of life and empower you to move forward, better able to face the inevitable problems that come your way. I look forward to the opportunity to partner with you, to help you clarify what you want from your life and how to go about getting it. My primary area of interest is in working with couples, although I do work with individuals also. This includes pre-marital counseling, communication difficulties, recovery from affairs and sex addiction, and parenting together after divorce. In 2011, I've completed a certification in sex addiction therapy (CSAT®) through Patrick Carnes. The CSAT® program is fast becoming the industry's standard certification for all therapists who are working with individuals who suffer from addictive and compulsive sexual behaviors. I've received a Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology from Azusa Pacific University and am a marriage and family-therapist-registered intern (IMF#64851) under the supervision of Curtis Miller, Psy.D., D. Min, MFT#31636. I am trained to use the prepare/enrich inventories, which is a comprehensive couple assessment tool for pre-marital counseling.
I provide marriage counseling for couples at risk of divorce or who need to learn how to effectively communicate, set boundaries, and assert oneself. I also do individual therapy for relationship issues, depression, anxiety, chemical dependency, and with a specialty working with eating disorders.
I have worked with hospice, helping individuals and families entering their end of life transition. I have found that by paying particular attention to the steps of grief, people can continue to grow and build healthy relationships even while coming to terms with a terminal illness. It is important for everyone to be able to break through old patterns to say what needs to be said. I have since transitioned to working with individuals with eating disorders, which reflect other underlying issues and trauma. I assisted many clients replace self-destructive behaviors (eating disorders, self-harm, substance abuse, and other maladaptive coping skills) with acceptance and self-love. I believe therapy can benefit everyone who sincerely wishes to see a change in his or her life. Appropriate therapy can relieve feelings of distress, increase satisfaction in interpersonal relationships, create skills for managing anxiety, and help grow greater personal awareness and insight. Difficult changes have no specific design, but with help, you can learn from them, grow with them, and be better because of them.
GETTING THE MOST OUT OF THERAPY Whatever your problem, challenge, trauma or pain, the power to change exists within you. I believe an effective therapists job is to support your shift, not to create it for you. Being with clients session after session, I find the persons who have positive movement are the ones who show up every week seeking collaborative solutions and try them out between sessions. Whether youre familiar with the therapy experience, or just hoping to find a place to provide some helpful solutions during a difficult time, I can help you make your desired shifts. Together, we can mutually create a safe space to discover new ways of looking at things and make progress toward your goals and desires.
